Well written and fast paced, the true story of broadly unknown and disgraceful period in American history. The books tells the story of the Osage Indian Nation in Oklahoma, who’s initial good fortune at being relocated to oil-rich land turns to tragedy when they are systematically exploited and murdered; local government and civil institutions are complicit in the conspiracy. The telling and preservation of these histories are essential to minimize the risk society falls into similar traps of greed and prejudice.
