Here is where students can test their hands out at sword fighting, ax throwing, anything like that. There are circles drawn out for students to fight each other and weapons line the walls.

Ruby was used to being one of the boys. Back in her town she had always played with the boys rather than the village girls. Had her father been more proper, than she probably would have been told that playing in the dirt was not ladylike and that she would have to stop. But Rider Riding (her father) was a single father with more than one child and a lot of stuff to keep him busy, so he didn't worry himself too much with his daughter's companions. So, she had become on of the boys. Sword fighting, helping at the stables, even training with the village's tiny army that they used to fight of bandits. She prided herself in understanding the mind of men and fitting in with them as though she were not a girl. But with Vincent, she didn't know what he was thinking or how she should act around him. He did not make her feel like "one of the boys" but neither did she want him to. She wanted him to see her as a girl. The pretty girl that he seemed to see when he looked at her. Suddenly he seemed neither innocent or adorable, but a formidable and wickedly handsome. The way he leaned over to look at her so intently made her heart leap in her chest and she took in a sharp breath of air, looking back at him with her eyes wide with excitement. At his next comment she said nothing but just held his gaze with a slightly flirtatious smile of her own. She wasn't being silent for any good reason, she just didn't know what the hell to say to him. The second he turned away though, a goofy smile broke out on her face and stared after him with a twinkle in her eye. Biting one of her nails thoughtfully she let out a breathy giggle before jogging to the door and walking into the arena. She knew this place better than any other part of the school. She spent most of her time here when she wasn't in class, and while the stupid teachers of good wouldn't let her wear a sword (they said it was improper) she had a favorite one she always used when she came here. There were a few small daggers in her belt that she refused to get ride of, but she wanted to spar with real swords today. Taking off her red cloak she put it down at the edge of sparring circle. Underneath her cloak she was not wearing the terribly pink clothing the Ever girls wore, but rather the trousers worn by the Never boys and the rest, clothing usually worn by Ever boys. They were much more comfortable than the girl's uniforms. "Ready?" She asked, smirking at him as she drew her sword.
((I'll respond in a second, just finished eating sorry!))
While Vincent and his two older brothers were seen as the total catch, unlike his brother he wasn't purposefully what people would call flirtatious, in fact he was more like an obedient child, he would say when he liked something or when it was pretty, then he would keep his mouth shut when something was not to his liking. After all such was seen as the duty of the prince. Youngest or not. Though he had to admit, purposefully flirting with Ruby made him feel... alive! Exhilarated, and the best thing was he was a complete natural. He got the feeling that he would be hanging around Rue for a bit longer than just and excuse to get away from his friends. As he turned around and looked at her without the red cloak surrounding her figure in all of it's velvety glory, he saw all her in a boys uniform and it suited her so well. Okay sure, had he seen a girl in boy's uniform before? Yes, actually multiple times, his mother was a very free spirited woman, she participated in the final war, and this was a very accurate reptesentation of what she was in. Though as he saw Rue he couldn't help but look at her as if he had just seen a beautiful jewel. It fit her curves so well, and she just looked so extremely gorgeous in it. Sure it wasn't a dress but who cared, she was still so well suited he lost words for a moment. The blue complimented her gorgeous braids and was such a different contrast to her cloak he didn't know what to do. Clearing his throat, and the clearly prominent red blush on his pale cheeks, he steadied himself before nodding. "Ready." Twirling his sword in the air he set his eyes upon her, but for some reason he felt jealous. He wanted to show off like a peacock with their feathers.
Ruby watched Vincent stare at her for a while, finally feeling like she had the upper hand in this little game they were playing. Before he had been the one constantly making her flush and giggle. But now he was the one staring. She rolled her eyes again (one of her favorite things to do) and walked up to him, stepping into the sparring circle. "That is not how you would look at your enemy is it?" She admonished jokingly, spurred on by the fact that she now had the upper hand in this. She noticed the blush spreading across his cheeks which made her smile even more. How could someone so... normal as her make a prince like him blush? Not that she was complaining or anything, but it was just truly a wonder to her. Flicking one of her braids behind her so that they weren't in her face she decided that she was going to have to cut her hair shorter soon, it got in the way too much. She just smirked at his impressive show of delicate sword work. Sure, it was pretty cool what he could do but none of that was useful in a fight. The real question was if he was all show and no real talent. Well, she would just have to find out.
"Let's see what you've got. Vincent." She said, pausing on the word Vincent before lunging forward and aiming a swipe at his legs. She wasn't aiming to disarm him quite yet or anything like that. First she wanted to get a sense of his abilities and his stance. Every fighter's stance was different and it was important to know what it was so you could target whatever they usually left unprotected. Ruby for example was left handed which meant that sometimes she had to turn a bit in order to hit the other person's blade. That often left her shoulders, back and just below her arm unprotected. Most of the time she could remember to cover those spots because she knew that they were her weakness, but there were still times that she would forget. She could only hope that Vincent wouldn't notice her weaknesses before it was too late and she had already won.
((Who do you want to win?))
((I gtg dance, but I'll respond in an hour))
"Only the pretty ones. I don't meet many of those I might add." Smirking he quickly
This girl was extremely fast, but he was in a family of fighters. She wouldn't best him too quickly of course. He simply dodged, not waisting any energy on jumping out of the way. As he stabbed forard, he took more of adirect approach more interested on seeing how well Ruby's defense was instead of her offense. He would get a chance to take a look at that later, but for right now if he could just figure out how to get close enough to plan a strike to take her down, he'd win. Immediately after stirking, he stepped closer teasing her throughout and trying her best wya to djstract her, but she was earnestly just to well practiced. "Rue, I must admit you are one of the most skilled swordsman I have ever met, one of a kind, truly." As his blonde locks slowly started to fall in front of his eyes, Vincent smirked grateful that she could finally hide his thoughts. Sure, maybe she wasn't a mind reader or anything, but you could tell a lot from a person's eyes alone. Like many have said, the eyes are the window to the soul, though Ruby's were more like glass mirrors that seemed to let you see what you wanted to see, a good tactic, but he wanted to be friends with her. Though as his flustered face kept reminding him, maybe it was supposed to be more than friends. As Vincent parried and blocked, he studed where she struck from before finslly nicking her shoulder. Most princesses at this school wouldn't enjoy ruining their uniforms but he had a feeling that she wouldn't mind as much. "Very pretty and talented, what are the odds you'd find that in one person?" Smiling he stepped back before waiting for her to strike. While he did he noticed how easily flustered she became when he simply noticed her beauty. All thw girls he found particularly pretty always did that, most of the time it was annoying because they didn't just stop at a giggle. They made it a point to hang out with him all the time, everyday. So, he just stopped. Though seeing her attack was so mesmerizing, she was so beautiful and smart at the same time.

Ruby wasn't going to let anything Vincent say distract her from her fight. No boy, handsome or not, was going to win against her in a fight. One thing that anyone who had ever talked to Ruby knew, was that she was extremely competitive. Because she hung out with boys most of the time she often felt like she had to prove herself. To prove that she was just as much as one of the guys as any of them were. As a result she felt like she needed to win everything, especially if it was against a guy. She also just enjoyed the exhilarating feeling of doing something with everything you had, not caring about what anyone else thought. Rue's eyes shone with excitement as she and Vincent circled each other before really beginning to fight. She had to keep avoiding his gaze though because she knew that his innocent eyes would distract her if she stared at them. Not just because they were so beautiful, but also because she wanted to figure out that look he had possessed for a moment. That look of pure rage that had entered his eyes for just a second before slipping away. She didn't understand how someone like him could have so much anger within him, but she knew what she had seen and she needed to figure out why. She watched him with narrowed eyes as they fought."Swordsman?" She asked with a smirk, emphasizing the word "man" because she was not, in fact, a man. Not that she really minded. She would much rather be seen as a swordsman than some frilly little girl who wore too much makeup and giggled too much. She jumped back warily as he nicked her shoulder with the edge of his blade. She scowled angrily at him and shifted her position to protect her shoulder more, still looking at him with searching eyes. Grinning as her eyes widened with happiness she lunged forward again and pulled him forward by the collar with her free hand. Shoving him into a headlock (even though he was taller than her) she pressed the blade to his throat.
"It's actually not often you find someone as pretty and talented as me, so enjoy it." She said with a smirk but her face seemed to glow in the light of his compliment.
"Do you yield?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
She was thinking. He didn't know of what but she certainly was thinking, usually when someone was focused, they were focusing on what they were doing, but for a second she noticed that her mind was legitimately drifting. Though he was still mezmerized by how swift and immaculate her movements were that he almost forgot they were sparring. As Rue immediately shoved him into a headlock, he decided that he would eventually get her back. Though he admited that today was the day where he would just allow himself to fall into infatuation. Never had it happened this quicky, and he was certainly skeptical that everything was just going this simple, but what could he say? It wasn't as though like at first sight wasn't unheard of. His parents and grandparents had gotten married like that, so clearly it wasn't too bad, but something about Ms. Hood, and the way she flipped her braids, and wore her cloak, was just something to be so excited about. And that was it. He had just decided that he was going to be hers, or at least try. Usually, he didn't really believe that he would fall for any girl anytime soon, but only becauae nobody actually got to know him. Though even if thwy would end up as just friends, Vicent was going to stay by her side if she would let him. "I yield! For now." As he smoothly slid out of the headlock, he gave a heart-warming smile to her and chuckled. "You fight better than most of the boys here at the school of Good. Ehhh, I cannot speak for Evil, but I do know that you are a force to be reckoned with." Did Vincent know half the things he was saying as they flowed out of his mouth, but whatever he said usually flew directly into the heart of maidens. "I must admit, I am bit sour that you have beaten me, but I do enjoy a lady who knows what she likes." Since the boy's locker rooms were only right there, and it was only them, while she turned to do something else, he took of his shirt before jogging to the showers before getting a clean shirt and coming back out. As he saw her once more he bent down before whispering, "Warning." Before picking her up once more and pulling her close to his waist. "You are a mystery to me Ruby, so beautiful but yet so absolutely flustered when I dance with you. Why?" He was afraid to know the answer, she was strong and independent, and he was feminine and girly. Usually girls weren't into that type of stuff, they only saw him as an adorable child.
((Ohmergherd! Stahp! I learned from the best... my crush))
Ruby watched Vincent keenly, letting him slip out of her headlock with ease. He was just so goddamned gorgeous that she couldn't keep her eyes off of him. Now with his hair tousled and his uniform a bit rumbled, he looked ever more the like boys she usually liked. Before he had seemed a little bit uptight, with the whole prince-bowing thing. But now he seemed a little bit more loose and relaxed than before. It also probably helped that they were away from all the prying eyes of the other kids in the cafeteria. No one had ever stared at Rue like that. The only times anyone had ever stared at her was when she got into arguments, or fights, because they didn't believe that a girl should be putting her fist to some guy's nose. Not that she cared if they disapproved, that only made her want to do it more. But in the cafeteria, people had looked at her not because of her, but because of who she was sitting with. That deeply unsettled Rue and she would've just told Vincent that she didn't want to be friends with him and walk away... if it weren't for the fact that she definitely didn't have the heart to do that. Not because she would feel bad for him, but because she already didn't want to stop having him around her. He made this school seem manageable, less annoying and bright. "I should hope I fight better than the other boys, i've worked twice as hard as any of them." She answered with a grin. It was true though. Rue had spent every second of spare time learning and practicing, and sneaking out to imaginary spar in the barn. She had practiced more than any kid she knew here, and she was proud of it. As she went over to grab her cloak and belt she glanced over at Vincent before quickly looking away. Not before getting a glimpse of bare skin though! She had seen plenty of boys without their shirts on. After having all of her friends be male, she was used to it by now but it was different with Vincent. She didn't think of him as a friend quite yet, he was still teetering on the edge of friend and fantasy, although by the way he acted, maybe he liked here too? When Vincent came over and pulled her close to him she let out a little squeak of surprise (even though he had warned her).
"Because....uhm," Rue didn't know how to answer his question. No boy had ever complimented her as much as Vincent did and it just made her feel nice to be seen.
"Because no one has ever said anything so nice to me like you do."
As those words escaped from her lips all he could do was think, Why? Though he didn't because, the answer was very simple. He liked being the reason that she became red in the face. In fact, he liked it a lot. "Well, you are a beautiful human being, with perfect skills, your skin looks delectable, and even though I haven't hung out with you as often as I would enjoy, (you are in a few of my classes,) your personality is good to be around." Of course Vincent was extremely feminine so many things that he said, he felt didn't really get through to the girls he liked the way he wished. Everytime he introduced them to his brothers, they always managed to steal her or his heart from him. Though his previous lovers always got their heart broken anyway seeing that his brothers were demisexual. Meaning, they had to have a close relationship to actually even begin to start to like someone romantically. See, Vincent wanted Ruby. He wanted her a lot. Not like a kid wanting his newest toy, but he just wanted to be hers if she'd even let him. She was so strong, independent, and kickass he didn't know what to do with himself. Though being in such a close proximity to her was making what he wanted very obvious, and his solution was standing within his reach. In fact her was holding it close to his chest, but he already knew what she had guards up, just like every sane human being. Though Vincent was so extremely ready to break into them with his bare hands if possible. As the stood in the middle of the Arena with Rue in his arms he brushed a stray hair back into place with her braids before deciding that was enough romantic tention build up before leaning towards her ear and pulling her a bit closer. "You know," he whispered "I'd be willing to make you feel like this 24/7." Placing a small kiss onto her shoulder, he grabbed his vest before reality came back and walked towards the exist. Even he didn't know what he had just done, all he knew what she made him feel like. He liked that feeking, and he wanted it to keep happening.
Ruby didn't know what to say. No one had ever said anything like this to her before. Rue had been on of the few village girls who had never really been interested in boys. They always seemed like better playmates to her than romantic interests. But that all changed with Vincent. The way he touched her sent shivered down her arms and she pulled her cloak closer around her, feeling delighted and scared at the same time. She felt like she was stepping into some foreign reality. A place where boys were more beautiful than anything in the world and where suddenly school seemed manageable. It was a wonderful feeling, but also she had no idea how to go about living in this reality. "I wouldn't say perfect. Not nearly as perfect as you." Rue finally managed to stammer out, feeling on edge but somehow comfortable in his arms anyways. She could feel emotions coming off of Vincent in waves that were almost tangible. When she tilted her head to look into his eyes she was surprised to see desire in his eyes. He wanted her. He wanted the girl who didn't need a prince charming. How did that happen? Didn't he want a girl who would need him, who could be his maiden in distress? But for a moment she let herself hope that maybe he did actually want her, and she looked back at him with dark earnest eyes. She wanted him too. She wanted him more than anything she had ever wanted in her life. Finally she would have someone to talk to. Someone to complain and hang out with. Rue had been in some serious need for friends, and now she had one. One who could maybe be more than just a friend. That maybe disappeared with what he said next.
"I..." She trailed off, cheeks burning brightly, unsure of what to say. He flustered her so much! It was annoying.
But then he kissed her. Not even a real kiss. Just a damn stupid kiss on her shoulder. What the hell was that? That was not what she wanted and she glared at him furiously as he strode out towards the exit. Gathering her cloak around her, Rue stalked towards him and with one fluid movement she grabbed his collar and pulled him towards her.
"You can't just tease me like that and then not kiss me." She stated with a huff, and then pulled him in and kissed him.
He hated himself so much. He hated himseld with a passion after that. Did that seriously just happen? Oh God, she was going to kill him. From what he had gathered, and what her reputation reported, was that she was more likely to be the prince charming that the girls wanted, then the damsels guys at the school wanted. So, as he continued to kick himself he couldn't help but flinch a little as an unexpected hand was placed upon his shoulder and turned him around. As his entire upperbody was yanked forward, Vincent was about to whip out his sword until he was face to face with those gorgeous brown eyes that he had recently familiarized himself with. At first he was confused and taken by surprisre, though as his brain finally realised what was going on he gave in, and gladly accepted the kiss. His arms snaked around her wiast, slow enough that she could smack them away, but fast enough to fuel his hunger. He did not know what to say seeing as this would be his official first kiss, but he got the feeling he wasn't supposed to say anything at all. Hopefully he wasn't to bad, but nothing compared right now. Her lips were so soft, and her skin was exactly as he had envisioned it. Smooth as silk, and comfy as clouds. As he slowly parted, from her, he leaned his foregead against hers before going in again, this time pressing her slightly against the wall. He felt strangely dominant for some reason, he wasn't normally, but something inside of him when it came to her, wanted to show off. Gently, he placed her against the concrete arena wall and lowered his lips to her neck. A mischevious glint was now trapped in his peircing sky blues, and he had a lot of joy in himself right now, and she was really contributing to the problem; not that he minded. Slowly, and very reluctantly, he parted and he looked extremely different from his adorable little dorky self. Instead he looked more like his brothers, masculine, tought, and sly. A smirk was parting his lips now, and it took him a little while before he realised his cocky attitude. "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, I didn't ask the second time, I just... sorry."
((MUAHAHAHA, I HAVE SUCH THE CHARACTER ARC PLANNED FOR HIM!!!!))
((MUAHAHAHA, I HAVE SUCH THE CHARACTER ARC PLANNED FOR HIM!!!!))
((is this going to be one of those characters where you torture your character with everything you have? Like make his life miserable?))Rue had kissed one boy before. A kiss that was performed in front of her friends simply to prove that she could kiss a boy. Of course, the boy she had kissed had been her best friend, with his permission and total assurance that their friendship wouldn't change. So, her first kiss had basically been done to sooth her competitive nature. But other than that, she had very little experience with kissing. So, as a result, Rue was just as terrified of getting it wrong as Vincent was. The final product of two very inexperienced people kissing? Well, actually, pretty good in Rue's opinion. Much better than her first kiss with her best friend. He smelled like winter. She didn't quite know how to explain it, but he smelled like the crisp wind that blew across the village, bringing with it the sweet, tingling smell of frost. Ruby had always loved that smell. It made her think of snow and long walks in the chilly streets. It made her think of snowball fights and warm fireplaces. But now it she would only think of Vincent when she smelled the first hint of snow in the air. But despite his scent of chilly air, his lips were nothing like winter. They were warm and soft and hesitant for a moment before gaining confidence. Rue couldn't help but wonder if Vincent had ever kissed anyone because he seemed to be awfully good at it, but he had also been a bit hesitant at the beginning. Suddenly there was no more hesitation in his movements and he was pressing her against a wall, his kiss more wild and rough now. She knew that in the fairy tales, the boys were always supposed to be the ones who kissed the girl. Girl's weren't supposed to want boys as much as they wanted girls, but she didn't care. Gone were all thoughts of being delicate and she kissed him back with just as much fierce energy. So, when he pulled back she was a bit disappointed. She was left gazing at his face, flushed with their recent activities. He suddenly looked well... princely. Like, more princely than before. He looked dominant and territorial and warrior-like. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. She was used to being the warrior, but she figured that could both be fierce and this would still work.
"Don't stop... you don't have to apologize." She said softly before breaking out into a huge grin.
"I can't believe that...." She trailed off again before throwing her arms around Vincent and kissing him lightly again.
((Hey, I'm gonna wash my hair so I'm probably going to be awhile it takes hours(((look up black natural hair care)))))
"Okay, but stop me if I become too much ple-" He didn't believe that she heard him, he honestly did try to warn her since she liked those so much, but he was only trying to be polite. When it came to Ruby he grew annoyingly cocky, of course this was good for her because that meant he was nothing like the feminine boy he was around other people. It wasn't a facade, he liked to bake, sing, knit, draw, and everything else that may be considered feminine in his kindgom, even their world, yet this was the side he hid from people even when he wanted it to show out so badly. As far as he was conserned, they didn't desrve the best parts of him if they treated him like crap while he wasn't even trying to do great things. Ruby; Ruby was different, that drove him insane. He didn't know how to deal with his feelings when they came out, so he just let them out as raw, and emotional. Meaning that sometimes, if extreme emotions, they could be left unhinged. As she pulled him in for another kiss, he easibly melted into, and pressed his body to hers, enclosing it onto the wall and roughly, kissing her and slowly trailing his lips all the way down her few her neck, slowly nibbling at her ear while wrapping his arms around her waist, he made his way down to her collarbone before rejoining with her lips again. She tasted amazing, every single move she made on him always ended up smelling like mint. She was his. He felt extremely over protective at the moment, and it showed. This was heaven to him, she wasn't asking about his brothers, or saying she wanted to meet her brothers, but she was jusy enjoying him in the momen, with the exact same moment and passion he found himself enjoying in her. This time, he only partes for breath and to ask her if she was okay, earnestly he just wanted to keep going, he could do this for hours. Of course, he still had to be conscientious of Rue. Though looking at her neck and noticing small bite marks he slowly began kiss those just to see how she would react. "I tried to warn you.." he muttered while still kissing her neck, not with as much passion, bur Vincent was definitely aflame for her. "You did cut me off though, which is extremely rude, you know this." He chuckled softly as his teases where mumbled into her ears, and Vincent's arms continued to rub against the red colored, velvet cloak encircled around her collarbone. "No words explain what feelings I have for you in my heart..."
Honestly, Rue wouldn't mind Vincent in all his feminine personality. Seeing that she liked to be more in control than most of the girls here, she wouldn't mind having a boy who was willing to let her take charge sometimes. Or at least, that's what she had thought she had wanted. But now, with Vincent throwing all thoughts of being "girly" out the window, she found that she was enjoying it more than she had originally thought. It had never crossed her mind that maybe she got tired of being in control all the time. Maybe once and a while she needed someone to be the leader because she was so tired of having to make decisions for everyone else. So when Vincent decided to suddenly take charge of this situation, she let it happen. She felt like she couldn't get close enough to him. Like no matter how tightly his arms were around her waist, she was still too far away from him. Pressing against his body she tilted her head, allowing him to kiss her neck and collarbone. She wanted him to keep going but eventually she need a break from all this. And then suddenly she realized exactly what had just happened as he kissed away the marks he had left on her neck. Suddenly it all came to her in a huge realization that this was the first boy she had ever kissed. Like really kissed, not some dumb planned kiss with her friend."I'm..." Her breath caught in her throat and suddenly she tore away from Vincent. She had enjoyed this encounter, but she was shocked by the passion she had felt. By the overwhelming desire that had filled her body when he touched her. Wrapping her cloak around her tightly she began walking rather quickly towards the exit.
"I need some air." She said curtly all of a sudden before disappearing just outside of the arena. There, she slid down the wall and stared out into thin air with a blank gaze. She didn't understand how she had suddenly felt so strongly about everything. She had felt so important, and loved and she felt things that she hadn't even known she was missing. She hadn't realized how lonely she was, how tired she was of being strong, until Vincent had come along and been the strong one for her.
Watching her walk away was the wost part about the entire day. Even week maybe, he had so obviously and quickly fallen for Rue that it was like seeing someone being torn from you. Had he come on to strong? Was it a bad kiss? Did he do something wrong? Had he... left marks on her neck! Oh no! She would kill him for that, or at least he thought so. Again to him, Rue was exactly like some fierce amazonian warrior, and he was... nothing more than a boy compared to her. Yet, as much as he was compelled to go after her, if she said she needed space, then he'd give her space. He wasn't going to chase her down if she didn't want him to. Vincent just wasn't that type of guy, even though he wished he could be. Rue had opened his eyes as much as he had opened hers. While he did enjoy being 'feminine' and dainty, he could not deny that being in charge was gratifying, and ravishing. Honestly, as long as Rue could make him feel that way, he didn't think that that would change. Though, he still had to find out if she was okay with being his. Even if he was a slightly girly, as some guys tended to call it. Vincent himself wasn't neccicarily that concerned with being all that manly because of how much he enjoyed baking, cooking, dessing up, admiring hair, and outfits, but Rue made him feel like the prince he was. She wasn't fragile by any means at all, but the way she blushed and chuckled and laughed and kissed. Oh God. Her lips felt like clouds he set his mouthapon and emmersed himself in. Honestly, she was so perfect, inside and out, that for her to leave he must have done something wrong. As his blonde hair fell over his blue eyes and graced his pinkish cheeks, he just wished for an escape. Ever since he had gotten here, people never recongnized him in in swan form, seeing as he didn't transform a lot, but escaping with the birds at the moment felt like the best idea he had ever had. So, as his finger glowed an icy blue, he slowly advanced into the swan body, though his eyes were still blue and his feathers were golden white just like his hair and the rest of the royal family. If you paid close enough attention you would understand the resemblance between the boy and swan, though most didn't.
((Post complete, sorry that took such a long time))
It was funny how everything that Vincent thought Rue wouldn't like was exactly what she did like about him. She liked how sweet he was and considerate. But she also liked this new Vincent. It was weird that she thought "new" because she hardly knew him, but still there was a new part of Vincent that she hadn't seen in him when she had first met him. This territorial, dominant part of him that she found just a little bit scary but sort of... very, sexy as well. It was funny how easily he switched from this protective guy back to this sweet boy who was scared that she might just run away from her. The way he had moved back, and looked at her with such a thoughtful gaze. The way he had asked her if she was okay, and had apologized as though he had done something wrong. Of course, he hadn't done anything wrong, in fact that kiss had felt more right than anything she had ever experienced before. She didn't need that breath of air because he had done anything wrong, she just needed to think. Because she had never done anything like this, felt anything like this before and she needed some time to just relax a bit. As she sat she saw a beautiful swan nearby and she smiled slightly. Getting up she watched the bird and walked slowly towards it, hands out in a non-threatening gesture. Weirdly enough, the bird reminded her a bit of Vincent. But that was impossible because Vincent wasn't a bird (obviously). It was probably just because he was on her mind right now. She couldn't stop thinking about him. His eyes, his smile, his hair, the cute way he looked at her. She hadn't even known that she could feel this way about someone before. Sure, she had loved her friends, and her brothers and her dad, but that was nothing to the all consuming desire. Not just the physical desire to pull him down by the collar and kiss him until she couldn't breath, but also the emotional desire to be hugged by him, and protected from the rest of the world by him. She was so tired of having to protect everyone else. Edging even closer to the bird she knelt down and looked at the swan with a twinkle in her eye."Aren't you beautiful?" She whispered softly.
Being so desperate for her touch at the moment, he immediately ran towards her, wings billowing in the wind as he picked up momentum, and flew straight into her arms. She felt so warm. So unbelievably warm. Her cloak felt like rocks compared to her skin, even though that material was legittimate velvet. As he heard those words whispered into the atmosphere, he almost forgot he was a swan and spoke out. "Well, I am so very pleased you think so." His swan self emmited a blue hue before changing back into the boy in the uniform, golden locks, blue eyes and all. "Although I must say, you are quite the sight yourself." After that clearly flirtatious comment, his apology just seemed to flow out of his mouth. "I am so sorry, I pushed too far, I didn't want to make you dizzy, but when you left I just lost it, I didn't even go after you! I'm so very sorry, eh, I know you may not dtill feel the same, but friends? I still have feelings but, I will learn how to control them just for you." Pushing some of his hair back from covrring his eyes, he immediately regretted ever going that far. It was insensitive of him, he didn't ask, even though he tried. He could've stopped it and been gentler. Every single thing he could think of, he apologized for, he didn't ever want to make her uncomfortable, but he realised that he probably did anyway. "I really like you my beautiful gem, but I never, ever want to make you feel pressured, or uncomfortable." Realising that he was still in her lap, his face turned into a beet red, even though he could hug her without getting the slightest bit red. How quickly things had changed. As a few feathers were still stuck in the grass, he began to fiddle with them still oblvious to the fact that she liked him as well. Though, even though there was still distsnce between them, he wanted nothing more thsn to go back to the position that he had so willingly put himself in. The one where he felt dominant, where he was in charge, and she was his.
Okay. Swans were rather pretty. Like really elegant and beautiful, but no swan had ever just run at Rue for a good reason. The only time she had ever gotten so close to a bird was when a goose had come up and bitten her. So she was a little bit surprised when the swan came flying straight into her arms. She couldn't help but flinch back a bit until she realized that this swan obviously didn't have biting her in mind. Maybe it was one of those animal-human swans. There were a bunch of animals around the Good grounds that seemed to have eerily human qualities. And she couldn't help but let out a little shriek when the swan suddenly spoke to her. There were many gray spots in life. Many places where answers were hard to find. But one thing Rue was sure of, and that was animals do not speak English. There was no doubt in her mind that a swan, magical or not was supposed to talk. She almost dropped the bird when a bright flash of bluish light flashed and suddenly there was no longer a beautiful swan in her lap, but instead an even more beautiful boy. There was a moment of shocked silence as Ruby stared at the boy in front of her. Once moment he had been a bird, and the next moment he had arms and legs and a wonderfully handsome face. Now that he was here, she could see the resemblance between him and his bird form (at least she was guessing that was him in bird form). She knew that a lot of the students here had special powers but this was a little bit weird. "So, uhm, you can turn into a bird?" She asked softly before pausing again. But then, slowly a smile spread across her face and she started to giggle at his multiple "sorry"s. He really was adorable.
"You don't need to say sorry... you didn't do anything wrong." She assured him, helping him brush the hair out of his eyes affectionately. She let her fingers trace down his face, tracing the line of his cheekbone and then down to his lips, lingering on his perfect mouth.
" I don't want to be just friends." She whispered softly, her eyes filled with concentration as she ran her hands down to his chest. She needed to explain to him that it wasn't his fault that she had freaked out, but she didn't know how to put what she had felt into words.
"It's just, that I've never had something like this with someone you know? I've always been the strong one, and then you came along and for a moment I didn't have to lead... it's stupid..." She trailed off, flushing.
Watching her caught off guard was really cute to him, so thats why that little squeal of surprise made him life so hard. Rue always seemed to be so unbelievably certain and confident about everything, so evne the slightest mistep of her's just reminded him that she was certainly human. Just like everyone else, well, in most cases everyone else. Though he became extremely nervous as she almost dropped him. "H-hey! Precious cargo here, please no dropping me." As her jaw practically dropped below the floor he let a small smirk show out his amusement from pure shock. "Hey! A swan is not merely a bird. It is a pure symbol of beauty and grace. The ultimate animal." Vincent actually looked pretty proud of this placing a smug look on his mouth and a hand on his chin. If you looked close enough, you could even see a small twinkle in his eyes. "Eh, you do know my story. Yes? I am Vincent Swarvosky Heron the III. The Swan Prince." He gave a little bow while he was sitting to show his royal status before brushing his hair back one more. "I didn't do anything wrong? But you took off, I thought I had trapped you, or made you feel uncomfortable, or kissed you too suddenly? Or worse made you not like me anymore? Make you feel used? Or I thought I made you-" His words were cut off as he felt two very soft, yet callous hands trail down his chest. That got him to shut up very, very swiftly. "I don't want to be just friends." Wait, what did that mean for him? Oh this was good. This was extremely good. "You don't?" He sounded confused before smiling. "That is good for both of us. Yes?" As she explained the reason she needed to go off and think for a momrnt, he felt silly for over reacting. With to fingers he tilted her chin up and smiled, the brids were singing, the grass was green, and everything felt absolutely perfect. The perfect start to a fairytale of their own. "It's the opposite of stupid. Trust me, I'd know. Sometimes, I think that I'm just a little too... eh, girly." Placing an arm around her waist, he pulled her down with him as he laid in the grass. "So, it's not stupid at all." Placing another kiss on her lips, he couldn't help but embrace her. For heaven sakes it felt like their own fairytale.
Rue couldn't make up her mind about Vincent. Was he adorable? Or was more handsome? Was he dominant or a little bit more like the Ever girls she knew? Was he boyish, or princely? She couldn't seem to fit him into any of the categories she usually put boys into. That annoyed her because she didn't know what to think of him anymore. But it was also amazing because maybe he didn't fit into any of those categories because he really was all of them. He could make her smile, and blush and laugh, while being boyish, and princely, and adorable and handsome. Everything he was made her smile. She listened to him talk for a while, enjoying the soft lilt of his words. Sometimes accents brought people out of the moment. If they weren't used to hearing a word pronounced a different way, it took them some times to get used to it. But not Vincent's. His was like a song in words, a melody that made her feel like the luckiest person on earth. Suddenly everything made sense as he explained who he was. The Swan Prince! That made everything fit together perfectly. She didn't know the story of a Swan Prince all that well, but she did recognize the name. The name fit perfectly with his blue eyes and blonde hair. Giving him a keen look, she realized really just how much he looked like his swan. Running her hands slowly down his arms and ending with her fingers entwined with his she smiled softly at him."No, I don't silly! I want to be a lot more than friends." She smirked at him and chuckled again. He looked so puzzled at her words. It wasn't like she was speaking in another language or anything. You'd think that will all the Prince Charming Lessons they took that boys like Vincent would be able to talk to women more confidently. But Rue found it endearing, so she didn't mind his confusion. She didn't say much as he pulled her down into the grass, kissing her. She didn't hesitate to kiss back, running her hand through his soft locks of blonde hair. Finally she broke away from his kiss to look at him seriously.
"You are not too girly. You're just more human than most of the guys around here." She murmured before kissing him again.
((Do you want one of his friends to find them or something?))
Oh God she was actually perfect. This moment was perfect, as she turned over so that she was below him, he peppered her neck with small pecks to show his affection while whispering silly things into her ear. "Never thought you'd fall for a swan huh?" Snickering, he eventually grew tired and rested with her in his arms while listening to the sounds of the water and the life outside, and as the sun shone on them, he felt absolutely content and at peace for resting here with Rue. As if absolutely could bother them aga- "Vincent!" Of course. He jinxed it. While he wasn't livid, he was definitely upset that his time with his precious gem stone was cute short. "Whaaaatt do you waaannt Kingsley?" This was a new side to Vincent, hmeven he didn't know he could act this way. But he sounded whiney, like a child. Not even as a child had Vincent done thus, he was always very agreeabke and kind, and so when Kingsley was taken aback, so was Victor. "Sorry. In all seriousness, what do you need Kingsley?" Recovering from the glare and tone of voice that was just used on him, he stuttered before actually comprehending a stentance. "Erm, well, everyone was looking for you. So, they sent me to get you. You weren't at the dorm, so I tried the Arena." It was comepletely idiotic, and unbelievably lucky that he was actually here. In all honesty he wouldn't even be here if Rue hadn't looked at him like a child on their birthday. At the thought of Rue, he smiled. Siting up, he glanced at Kingsley before speaking. "Is that all? Or do you need my assistance? I'm busy." Usually Vincent was cold at all towards anyone. His feminine and kindness resulted in soft spoken words and calm energy, but he just wanted to be with Ruby at the moment. Alone. "Uh, yeah, well we just wanted to know if you were going to the ballroom with the rest of us." During the entire time he spoke he was glancing between Ruby and Vincent. "If you have something to say to my girlfriend, then just say it."
Rue giggled as he kissed her neck softly. It was weird because for this simple moment, she felt like a total girl. She had never really felt totally like a girl before. Because she never had been that interested in any of the things that the other girls did. But now, sitting in the grass with her arms around a boy, she felt like a total girl. Smiling she kissed him again, along his jawline and then back up to his lips. God, she really was obsessed with his lips. Like there was something about them that made it hard for her to keep her eyes off of them. "Mhm, i'd never even met a swan that could talk before, much less fall for one." She smiled again and tightened her grasp on his hand, curling into him so that they were lying side by side again and her head was resting on his chest. Suddenly she jumped slightly as someone yelled out Vincent's name. Looking up, she immediately sat up and and wrapped her cloak around herself tightly. She didn't know why she did that, but it was just a habit of hers. She watched the boy with keen eyes, taking in everything about him. She wanted to know who Vincent hung out with. You could tell a lot about a person from their friends. She was startled by the sudden chill in Vincent's voice as he spoke to... Kingsley. It made her feel sort of special actually. Like he wanted to spend time with her so much, that he hated that anyone would interrupt him. But also, it wasn't his friends fault that he was busy. That was the weird thing she was still trying to figure out about Vincent. He seemed to be all happy-go-lucky but then something would happen and his eyes would turn to ice. Like suddenly there was nothing in the world that could make him laugh. But then she became extremely distracted at something he said.
"I'm sorry? Girlfriend." She stared at Vincent for a long moment before suddenly finding the grass very interesting. As much as she enjoyed not having to be the controller for a while, she still needed to have a grasp on her life. The fact that Vincent had just said that without asking her first annoyed her a little bit.
He turned and looked at Rue like a sad puppy. "Are we not exclusively dating? Or should I have talked to you first?" Whatever happened his demeanor had did a complete 180, and he turned to Rue and smiled. He couldn't help but to smile at her, she just made him so happy. Though instead of a bright smile, it was more like to check if she was okay. "Erm, you like her, Vincent, Kennedy is going to be pissed!" Rolling his eyes he turned back to Kingsley looking as though he was about to drown him in the lake they were sitting next to. "Kennedy is temperamental, rude, and passive-agressive. Plus, I don't even like her! Also, if you genuinely have a problem with Rue, then I suggest you talk to her like a real person. Because, guess what? She's a breathing living human being too." Rolling his eyes he glanced towards Rue before looking back to Vincent who still looked at though he was about to beat him to a pulp. "So, you're Red Riding Hood? Well, what kingdom?" He asked all though obviously not interested. "Listen, there is a girl who already called dibs on our prince here, which means you have to back off." At this Vincent's eyes turned to a deep ocean blue, like there was absolutely no sunlight reaching his face. He was listening to this, but only barely, though Kingsley had already messed up his entire mood by simply interupting time with Ruby. Now he was telling Runy to back off? No no no no no, that was not how it worked. If she was still too much of a coward to come here herself, then she didn't even deserve his friendship. Getting up, from thwir embrace he began to storm over to Kingsley before backhand slapping him across the face. "Kingsley Knight. You are supposed to be by my side, not choose how my life is going to be." Rue could defend herself, yes, but this wasn't really even to defend her, he was just livid at the fact that he thought he had control over his love life. Running a hand through his hair, Vincent looked towards the pond. "You need to leave." So he did. Curling up and sitting by the lake, he placed his head into his arms before letting tears silent as the moon rising fall.
Ugh! Those eyes were going to be the death of her. She knew that she would never be able to deny him anything with those sad puppy eyes. Just when she thought she would possibly be able to get angry at him, he smiled. A wide, hopeful, trusting smile that made her heart totally melt. Again, it wasn't that she didn't want to be his girlfriend... but maybe she just wasn't ready to be his quite yet. Rue needed to be her own person. She had been like that ever since she was a child. Her need for independence was part of every choice she made. So while she really did like Vincent, she wasn't ready to just become his girlfriend. Because she didn't want that to be all she was. She didn't want to only be known as "Vincent's girl" she wanted to be known as Rue. But the look on his face, the way he looked at her, she couldn't get angry at him. Anyways, she had someone else to be angry at. She wasn't sure if she wanted to be angry at this Kingsley character, Vincent or that Kennedy girl. "Someone had dibs on him? What is he, a prize at some fair?" She growled, standing up. Rue wasn't by any means a tall person, but suddenly she seemed taller than Kingsley. Someone could not simply have dibs on a person. You had to win someone over first, not just pick them up like something you buy at the market.
"You better back off before I give you a black eye." She growled angrily, her fists clenched tightly. But before she had the chance, Vincent had strode forward and slapped his friends squarely in the face. Ruby couldn't help but find the loud slap very satisfying. She was going to have to deal with Vincent's over-protective behavior later though. Ruby knew that often princes got very protective of their princesses. At least, that's what the stories said since she had no experience herself. But with her fiercely independently personality, she immediately assumed that he wasn't doing it for himself, but for her. That made her absolutely livid. But all anger flew out of her mind when suddenly she realized that Vicent was... crying?
"Vincent... are you okay?" She asked cautiously, unsure of what to do. Dropping to her knees beside him she wrapped her arms around him and looked searchingly into his eyes.
"Vincent, please tell me you're okay!" She hissed, suddenly worried.
This thread is now open (if/ when Catt comes back and someone is using it, we'll just figure something out)
As he saw her drop to the floor next to him, he gave a little smirk. "I'm fine earnestly, just... my chest hurts slightly, I've never actually stood up to anyone before, it's sort of nerve racking." While that certainly wasn't true, Vincent had bad memories of ever standing up to his father to protect someone, and it kind of traumatized him throughout his entire childhood. including up until this point. He was shaken from head to toe and he was unbelievably frozen as if someone had placed him inside a bucket of ice. Standing up he tried to hide his fear and anxiety, Ruby was so absolutely strong and capable, and beautiful that whenever he saw her like this, he couldn't help but feel as though he was a coward. Vincent had screwed up his closeness with her so fast that it turned some heads. Of course now he couldn't but think about his brothers, and how absolutely perfect they were. How they were able to just glide along these situations so easily, and walk away as if they had just slain a dragon. "I-I believe that I need some time alone, for now. I'm so sorry Ru, today was one of the best days of my life, but I don't deserve you. You're smart, courageous, and so utterly beautiful. You're stronger than I am, and I swear on the stories you are extremely talented, more than I am. I wimp out and I shriek at everything. You deserve better. Try one of my brothers, they'll probably do this better than I can. They always do." Shaking and brushing off the grass found on his pants and his shoulders, Vincent gave her a small kiss before patting her cheek and walking off.
Rue bit her lip and gave Vincent a long uncertain look. He definitely didn't look fine, in fact he looked like he was about to keel over any minute from the pale look on his face. One small problem was the Rue was not good at taking care of people. She was a leader, but she was a tough one. The type that would used tough love as her way to get people to do things. She just didn't quite understand how do use soft words to get people to do things like the way some of the Ever girls and boys seemed to be able to do. So she was absolutely lost when it came to comforting Vincent. But she wanted to help him, she wanted him to feel okay again because she couldn't stand to see him unhappy like this. After another unsure moment she hesitantly put her hand out to reach for his own hand, to tell him that it was okay through actions rather than words because she couldn't seem to find the right words at the moment. But what he said next made her draw back her hand quickly, retreating into her soft velvet cloak. "Oh, alright..." She didn't want to leave him alone, not like this. He wanted him to know that she was willing to sit there and just listen if that's what he needed. But he was so curt about it that she didn't know that to say back. Not for the first time with Vincent, she was at a total loss for words. In fact, she couldn't find anything to say until he had already begun to walk away. It took her a long while to get her tongue back in working order.
"I'm sorry? What did you just say?" She yelled out at him, her voice stern and annoyed. Again, Ruby wasn't the greatest at the kind comforting thing. Frowning deeply she wrapped herself up in her cloak, she quickly walked to catch up to him, her dark brown eyes narrowed into slits.
"What makes you think that I want to meet one of your brothers? If I wanted one of them, I would have talked to them already. But I don't want them idiot, I want you." She gave him a look that she only reserved for her friends when they were being total idiots.
"If i'm smart and courageous like you say I am, than don't just leave! You're obviously not okay and I want to know why and i'm not just letting you walk away from me." She stood in front of him, blocking his path with an angry expression deeply etched into her face. She hadn't realized how much she had wanted to have someone who liked her, until she actually did have someone who liked her.
As he began to walk away, he genuinely wished that Ruby would forget about this entire day. Think that maybe it was all hust a dream. Even though thet went to the same school and all, he was a good actor. He knew what it meant to pretend, and in fact he was quite good at it. Especially when it came to others well being including himself. Vincent knew better than to actually keep a girlfriend and keep her to meet her brothers, so it would just end badly. They always ended up stealing other guys and girls hearts. It was inveitable. Fiddling with the cuffs on his sleeves and the medalions pinned onto the vest given to all Ever Boys, he couldn't hwlp but to think about Ruby and her wonderful velvet cloak. He would have to really look into the history of it. It was kept in their family tree for ages, but where did it even come from? Who made it first? Of course, these were all questions to keep him from actually thinking about her gorgeous braids that went to her waist, her chocolate fair skin, and the pink, plump, sweet lips attached to her charming personality. God, she was perfect. Why did she even want him in the first place? The only thing that he reslly had going for him was that he was a prince of a huge kingdom. Other than that was pretty much just his looks. Everyone else was already royalty, or at least had a huge estate, or looked as though God came down and blessed them with the gift of beauty himself. Though as he continued to think he couldn't help but to be slightly startled at the sudden shouts being thrown at him. Turning around, he saw Ruby, but she looked extremely pissed off at him. Why? He had just given her freedom to date someone better, he was a wimp! At least to everyone else he was. "Everyone wants my brothers, I already know how this ends. You meet them, you fall in love, I get dumped." Turning around he began to move but Ruby blocked his path. Now he was annoyed. He returned her look of anger with his own, his blue eyes turning to ice and stabbing daggers at her. Grabbing her wrist very firmly he rolled his eyes. "I'm saving myself from another heartbreak. Trust me, nobody wants me."
((By the way, sorry if I don't post too often in the next week, i'm going through my finals so i'm pretty busy))Ruby couldn't believe this. What was wrong with her? Did she automatically drive away every boy who came her way? Rue had never been crazy about boys, in fact they had always been a very small part of her life. The first time she had ever really started to think about boys was when a bunch of the Ever girls voted her the least likely to get a boyfriend out of all of them. That had hurt more than Rue had expected. She didn't want to be alone her entire life. She still wanted someone who thought she was the most special person in the world, didn't everyone? And now, as she stood in front of Vincent, wrapped up tightly in her cloak as though holding onto it would make Vincent not leave. She hated the idea of watching him just walk away, especially since he was obviously going through something or other that she didn't understand.
"I don't fall in love easily." She replied with a scowl. How could he think that? Did he think that she just fell in love with the first boy she saw in front of her? The look in his eyes scared her a bit though, and she would have taken a step back if he hadn't caught her wrist in his own hand. He wasn't just holding onto her though, he was holding on tight. Like tight enough to hurt and she tried to pull away angrily.
"Ow, Vincent you're hurting me." She muttered, fixing him with her ultimate death glare. She did not like being trapped and she couldn't exactly move freely at the moment, so she was not impressed with Vincent at the moment. His next comment was enough to make her totally go off on him.
"Wow." She chuckled. But not the funny kind of chuckle, the type that was so angry that you couldn't do anything but laugh. Take the risk was usually how she lived her life. The worst thing that could happen was that you ended up dead, which was pretty bad but still it was only a worst case of events. The fact that Vincent was willing to not do something because he was afraid of the consequences astounded her.
"Am I a nobody then?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Vincent seemed to have grasped what was actually happening and let go out Ruby before beginning to storm off once more. He didn't know how exactly to deal with her, or himself at the moment. The prince was trapped in his own cages of insecurity, hatred, and loathing and he didn't know what to do with himself anymore. He was tired. Tired of everytime he wanted to actually get to know someone and his brothers ruined it. Tired of people using him, he was about ready to give up. While Ruby was one to take risks Vincent was quite opposite. Or at least is now. He used to be quite open-minded until his father died, then he just let it all go. He was a prince. Princes were not to shame their kingdom. So, when you didn't have the entire side of the country wanting to jump into your pants, you remained calm and diligent while others partied. As he heard the sentance that fell from Ru's lips, he was ready to scream. He turned around and faced her. If she was going to do this then she should expect an honest response. "Are you serious?" He glared at her with the same look he gave when thinking about his brothers. "Stop shoving words in my mouth! I didn't say that! Ruby Hood. You have become more important to me than some of my blood in a few mere minutes. I want to protect you. I want to care for you. I need you to grasp the concept. When you have been burned to many times do you return to the flame? Not unless you have a death wish. So. As much as I would love to hold you, you are my flame. I do not wish to be hurt once more. My heart has taken enough damage. So please, just understand." He had just bore his entire heart to Ruby, and if she didn't get it now, then she never would. With tears in his eyes he grasped her shoulders before wiping them once more and walked to the forest. God he was such a wimp. Such a dissapointment to everyone. How could Ruby like him? He was lame. She deserved better. At least until he figured ou himself first.
((She's not going to follow him, she would probably just let him walk away. But if you want we can skip to them seeing each other again at the lunch pavilion or something after my post.))
((I wasn't expecting her to, but sure maybe they could meet at the stables, I'm trying to build Victor to be tough, like giant man who still likes to knit for the meadow sometimes. He's really broken.))
Ruby didn't follow him. Not because she was scared to, but because she didn't know what she would say if she did end up following him. She had never really had a way with words and her inability to express herself through words only got worse when she was angry. Anyways, she wasn't sure she was so angry anymore which just made it all the more confusing. What Vincent had just said, it was just beginning to sink in to her brain. She didn't get it. He cared about her, he wanted to protect her. No one had ever said anything remotely like that to her before. No one had ever been brave enough to tell independent Rue that they would be willing to protect her, even if she didn't want to be protected. No one had ever told her that they cared for her in any way that meant more than as a friend. No one but Vincent had figured out that Ruby wanted protection just as much as anyone. That she wanted to feel special and loved just as much as the next Ever princess, she just didn't rely on that love as much as they did. Why? Maybe it was because she didn't think she would ever get that love, so she pretended she didn't need it. She wasn't delicate or refined like all the other Ever girls and more often than not she felt like a bull in a china shop, unable to perform even the most simple tasks that the princess did. She couldn't serve tea properly, for the life of her she couldn't remember all the proper and improper dinner conversations and her posture never seemed to be good enough. If the Evers were swans, Rue was an eagle. But even eagles are not invincible, even they sometimes need to seek protection. So, she just stood there, watching him walk away with a dumbfound expression on her face. "Okay..." She whispered into the empty air, staring at Vincent's disappearing figure until he was invisible between the trees. Blinking rapidly she suddenly turned around and stalked off back to the arena. After that, she spent the next few hours punching her heart out until one of the poor wooden dummies fell apart under the vicious arc of her sword. Again, Rue wasn't good at expressing her feelings through words, so she got them out through action.
((Okay. I feel terrible for him... anyways, do you want the next post to be at the stables?))
