Parker Trials of Apollo The Hidden Oracle
By:Rick Riordan

This book is about the greek god Apollo and him being sent down to earth to go thru trials to get back to olympus and him completing his first trial out of three.

Characterization:
The main character is Apollo the greek god he was sent to earth because he caused trouble in olympus. And because he was sent down he changed from being a super self center person to being some who started caring about the children he had and for other people and wasnt self centered as much. But he is a very self centered person for a portion of the book and he then becomes caring for other people. He is a very happy and outgoing person but sees a lot of troubles in life.

Conflict:
The conflict of the story is the god Apollo was sent down to earth as a human because of some things that he did in Olympus. And in this he has to stop this group of three roman emperors that call themselves the triumvirate and that they need to get control of 3 different oracles and gain control of the united states, and Apollo and some of his friends need to stop them from doing so.

So in all this is a really good book and I would recommend it to teens because there are so many points in this book that are relatable for teens. The story/plot for it is also really good and I loved the characters that were in the book, and the conflict that happens to push the story in the book along.

David Brinton This is a very bad book for teens or pre-teens because it contains gratuitous promotion of homosexuality that lends nothing to the story while perverting the minds of children and leaving them open to being molested by pedophiles.
