Elizabeth (elizabethhunter) | 7 comments Ok, so I just learned Jennifer Ehle (from the old Pride and Prejudice) is cast ass Dr. Lydia in the Cameron Post movie, and I REALLY LIKE IT.
Don't get me wrong, I F********G HATE Lydia. But Jennifer Ehle in this role is amazing.

Also, I had no idea where to post this? So I posted It here instead of other threads, hope that's ok.

Posting here is fine :)

ALSO WHAT I totally missed that connection and I was OBSESSED with that miniseries growing up. I don't think I've seen her in much else, but I'm really curious to see her portrayal now.

lacy white (ravensandlace) All I saw was red when I read this part. Just straight red. I was BEYOND angry that a place like this even existed, ya know? Lydia deserves to have her license being taken away. She is an absolute disgrace of a psychologist.

It just floors me that people send their loved ones to places like this. My parents taught me to love everyone (unless, of course, they were disrespectful to me). So I can't even process the thought process of the town and of Cameron's aunt.

Ugh, this whole part gets under my skin. It's so gross. The part that really hit me the first time, and still does, if how Lydia and the other 'villains' aren't just stereotypical 'bad guys." They are awful people, but they genuinely believe they are doing the right thing?? It's really terrifying and well-written.

That is the worst part, where they believe they are doing good. That is juts so terrifying to think about.

It's simultaneously one of my favorite things about this book and something I hate 😂

I'm nearing the end (again) and I remember thinking there wasn't a lot of resolution/that the ending felt abrupt. I'm wondering if it will feel the same this time

I wouldn't mind re-reading this book in a few years to see if I still feel the same way. I actually finished it a while ago. lol. My overdrive loan was only for 2 weeks so I had to finish it pretty quick. lol.

Nat (natelizzzabeth) | 5 comments This was just... wow...

God's Promise was a monumentally f**ked up place it literally made me so angry and just pure frustrated. Marks whole storyline made me so upset omg!! It was just absolutely heartbreaking to read what his struggle had lead him to do.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't a massive fan of the ending... I could have done with another couple of chapters tbh. It felt super unfinished to me but I still definitely enjoyed this book.

I agree with you about the ending. It felt unfinished. I wanted to know what happened and if everybody ended up okay.

omg did you know that the book was originally supposed to be like twice as long??? i heard the author still has the second half sitting around and honestly I hope that the release of the movie inspires her to release the rest of cam's story!

omg no way!?! I need that second half like right now. I don't know about everyone else but I'm super nervous about the movie, like I don't want to be left disappointed if you get me.

I NEED IT TOO!! and i feel ya about the movie. I don't think part one is gonna be a part of it and I think part two is only going to be a super small part?? cuz lindsey and jamie are both uncredited roles on imdb?? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS

I totally agree with you. The ending was so unfinished. I am one of those that needs to know what is going to happen at the end. I cared a lot about Cam in the end and wanted to make sure she was okay.
