Takiaru had been on yet another random journey of his, not even knowing what he was going to do or see. He had no more family, no more 'friends', nothing. He was nothing but a sought after criminal, known infamously for attacking Fairy Tail guild members, and for some petty thievery for basic necessities like food, clothes, and water. Though, he had grown particularly well in 'hunting' the Fairies, as they all usually had some scent to them, whether it be the smell of their guild's main halls, or whether it was the scent of their brands on them. Whatever it was, Takiaru had grown familiar to it, and can smell it from hundreds of yards away. Though, he always stayed away from populated areas, and usually stuck to smaller areas to pick off his victims. He had been skulking around these forests, and another Fairy's scent had caught on to him. He dashed towards it, staying concealed to the trees. Once he reached the origin of the scent, he stayed concealed in the foliage, looking down at Itzari in her garden. " Titania?" He thought.
She might have been flattered to be thought of as the famed Erza. He was only seeing the top of her head, though, from his position. Totally oblivious to the stalking attacker, she scraped up the roots of the dried mint, then leaned over the soil, sifting it through her fingers. "It doesn't make any sense," she protested to nobody, "Why do you keep dying?" She sat back on her haunches, rubbing the back of a dirty glove against her forehead, leaving a streak on her face. After a moment's rest from hunching over the earth, she pulled at her newest experiment to try to fill the, quite literal, dead space. Bluebells. Hopefully, they wouldn't die. They were supposed to be quite the weed. But then again, so was mint. She started tucking the plants into the earth by the fence, giving a silent prayer for their survival in the days to come.
Takiaru held back his maniacal laughter as she was nearly desperate to see her plants thrive. Though he basically was a stalker, he excelled in this, found great pleasure in this. He was always taught that Fairy Tail was the enemy, and he grew up knowing how to exterminate them. He knew this was his moment to strike; while she had grown silent, and was completely focused on the plants. He heard her voice clearly, and had now seen her. This girl was far too feminine to be Erza, or at least from what she'd expressed so far... And Takiaru's knowledge. His confidence now skyrocketed, knowing it most likely wasn't a big of a threat. He darted in front of her from the tree. "It probably won't survive because of your contaminated hands." He then focused his magical strength into his arms, gripping her throat, and lifting her off the ground.((Jeez, I'm not used to being dark.))
Itzari groaned when the guy showed up, dropping into her yard over the iron gate. "Damn. I guess I have to do some pruning to the overlapping branches..." It would be a shame to cut back those beautiful old trees, just so trespassers wouldn't jump in. The instant he gripped at her throat, she activated her powers. "Meteor," she said casually, floating into the air with zero resistance. Her eyes panicked slightly, though, when his fists constricted around her throat, strangling. She dangled for a moment, losing her wits, gripping at his fingers, trying to free her windpipe to get just one inhalation. Squirming, she closed her eyes tightly, heart pounding. Her senses seemed to return to her in an instant. Her fist, powered by the strength of a falling meteor, crashed into his cheek. She didn't initially expect him to actually succeed in hurting her, but he was faster than she'd anticipated. By the time she had freed her throat, there were visible fingerprints bruised into the soft skin under her chin. "Bastard," she spat, wheezing slightly. She twisted her neck, and a cracking sound could be heard. "I'm going to kick your ass."
His eyes slightly widened once she had said 'Meteor', recognizing what magic she had. It was a magic Takiaru had always been fond of, but was never given the opportunity, or possessed the talent to do so. Though, despite this, his grip stayed firmly on her throat, no intent of letting this slip away. As soon as her light-coated fist came crashing down at him, he, as quick as he possibly could, focused as much physical enhancing magic as he could to his face, fully intending to take the hit as there was no real way to dodge this. Luckily for him, when the fist made contact, he was sent skidding about six feet back. Stumbling back, he rubbed his cheek, spitting out a bit of blood. "Damn, like getting hit with a freaking cannon. If I didn't have my magic, my head would be rolling through that forest right now." Takiaru then stuck out his left hand, a pincer-like blade appearing instantly.
"As much as I'd love to actually send your head spinning," Itzari snarled, eyes on the alert, "Do you mind fighting to the death on the other side of the gate? I really don't want the bluebells to be trampled or doused in blood again in such a short period of time." She thumbed towards the gate, but her right hand rested lightly on a weapon in the sheath on her back. Getting out of her yard would allow her to call down more powerful magic upon her attacker without destroying her home... No one had ever really landed such a hard hit on her. Especially not when she'd been magically enhancing her body. She wasn't going to wait long enough to see if this kid was worth the blade being brought into play; she wouldn't take a chance with her life on the line. She pulled the rippling blade from its sheath. The metal seemed to glow black, like obsidian, reflecting light in a shining, ethereal glow, but never once seeming to imitate the bright glare of a natural reflection. Itzari was definitely on edge now, waiting for his first move.
Takiaru stood there with the blade at his side, waiting for almost any open moment to strike. He had just realized that she knew heavenly body magic nearly moments ago. He wasn't too fond of getting blown to smithereens by larger, more threatening magical attacks. While she continued to move closer to the gate, he stayed put, waiting for her first move. He realized he could use the surrounding foliage as a huge advantage for himself, gaining a bit of confidence that he could avoid all the ranged magic she had. He slowly started to slide his way to the left, while creeping forward. Then, he split his weapon into two, dashing to the left, then forward, then to the left towards Itzari. He cleanly threw one of the blades at her legs, then jumped into the air.
Itzari shot fifty feet up into the air the instant he started moving. She knew he was fast. Very fast. And she wanted to get a gauge for his speed... but, of course, she was as fast as a meteor. That one punch hadn't even been with the full force of her magic, nor her whole body. But this guy... something about him made her shudder. There was something dark about this guy. Well, he was trying to kill her, so there was that. He was quick... He had thrown that weapon quickly, accurately, and deadly. He was suspended in the air, his actions seeming slow when she was flashing at full speed like this. She darted down, sheathing her own katana and snatching his thrown blade from thin air. It took a good heft to pull it from its trajectory and bend its momentum to her will. She twisted, tossing the blade expertly back at him, then rolling to the side of his attack. She paused to watch how he'd handle her speed. She couldn't keep this up for long, though; she knew she had a limit. Itzari needed to end the fight quickly, and... she wouldn't hesitate to kill.
Taikiaru had hoped that she would have reacted or retaliated a bit more aggressive than that. He was hoping to have tricked her into taking the offensive while he was still in the air, and was kind of happy that she hadn't. He didn't want to end this too quickly. But that sword of his was derived from his own magic, and can expel it just as fast as he summoned it. Though, if he were to expel one of the blades, both of them would have to go together. He landed, not wasting a second to dash at Itzari, focusing all of his magic into his legs for an insane speed boost. Once close enough, he transferred most of the magic to his arms and hands, and a slight amount to his legs just in case he needed to flee. He began throwing barrages of attacks.
Itzari watched as he de-summoned the blades easily. So... His kind of magic wasn't just requip? People usually needed to be touching their weapons to requip them. Frowning, she considered, feeling a little confused. Still, he hadn't managed to slip past her defenses yet... so she let him charge, regaining confidence. She resorted to a defensive form, twisting her forearms to deflect his barrage, almost dancing with him, not harming him or lashing out yet. It was almost as if she was practicing for a drill, blocking punches just as part of a warm up. She was fast... but so was he. She felt lucky, just lucky enough that she was slightly fast enough, that she had enough foresight and habit ingrained in her fighting that her reflexes were quick enough to keep her on her feet. "You're good," she grunted, sensing weakness. She twisted his arms to his sides, then stepped forward, lunging a knee up between his legs. That was the Achilles heel of men, wasn't it?
It wasn't just an ordinary requip. His magic allowed him to summon his weapons, and banish them at will. But they could only be summoned with the intent to wield, not near or behind someone, nor far away from his body. Takiaru didn't really know how to react to her defense, but was just able to spring away from her right before she landed that devastating shot. He frowned, then scoffed, "Anything to win right? I guess that's the only weakness you could exploit?"
She stood, relaxed, vibrating slightly in a bright glow. “Oh, like tresspassing into a garden, crushing the... well, the already dead Honeysuckle patch, but it’s a matter of principle.” She got into a ready stance, the glow increasing. “I was mostly wondering if you had one. Real men don’t ambush poor, innocent young helpless maidens while they sing and tend their-“ she lunged forward, attempting the element of surprise. A devastating fist plunged towards his stomach in an almost imperceptible show of speed. “-flowers.”
He scoffed, then his scoff turned into a loud, maniacal laugh. "Well, sooner or later, every Fairy has to be slain. Everything dies in your wake. Havoc, destruction, chaos, sadn-" Takiaru's sentence came to a complete halt as a fist seemed to drive deep into his stomach, and flew backwards. He responded back with a loud knee driving towards her with his added momentum.
She scoffed scornfully at his ego. Was he here to give some evil speech about his righteous cause. “Give me a break,” she groaned, rubbing the back of her neck. She dropped under his knee and scissor kicked at the leg supporting him to send him tumbling. “Insufferable assholes die, too. Hell, who’s going to miss a psycho murderer? Kind of sad that your only legacy will be joy that you’re gone, huh?” She shrugged, pressing her foot into his chest. “Y’know, you’re right. Everything does die in my wake.”
Takiaru fell suddenly as his foot was kicked out from underneath him. “Murdering psychopath? The only thing I’m doing is exterminating the murdering psychopaths; Fairy Tail!” As he noticed her foot coming down on his chest, he swiftly rolled out of the way, and grabbed her leg. With his strength, he threw her the opposite way into a fence. He stood up, grunting, “You’re just proving my point.”
She froze in 'meteor,' not crashing into anything, and blanched, as if reconsidering her words. "I meant I kill all the flowers, moron, though I guess I understand how you'd come away with that impression. I am inadvertently a badass." Itzari cracked her knuckles. "I mean, I guess I do need to beat the shit out of you and dump you in magical serial killer prison." What, did he expect her to beat him nicely and get him into Fairy Tail with inspiration? Itzari was just Itzari. She wasn't a master; she was just in it for the jobs and maybe to try to make friends. This guy was a creep... Though she mostly thought she might not care if he got offed. He made it sound like he'd killed lots of people.
((So, say she uses a powerful spell to knock him out and tries to keep him in the house til the cops arrive?))

Nah, Takiaru had not really truly hurt any Fairy Tail members up until this point, but planned to with his old dark guild. He has a natural hatred for them that could be extinguished. "Badass my ass. Though, I do have to admit that I slightly envy your magic. Kind of sad I never acquired it myself." Takiaru laughed, "Good luck trying to put me into a prison. This country's militia couldn't put a jaywalker into prison even if they tried." He stood up, and brushed himself off. "Seems like we're at stalemate."((I mean, that could work?))
((What do you think?))
Itzari rolled her eyes in a mock-derisive way. "So it isn't badass that this tiny gardening girl is kicking your ass so magnanimously?" She kept her guard up, keeping her pulse in tune with her magic. She had plenty left. It would take more than a few minutes of Meteor to really get her down. But that didn't change the fact that this was going on longer than she liked. "You ever been in the prison?" she checked.
