This is a hard question for me, because I am normally not that much into sci-fi. I rated the first book only 2 starts, but with every book in the series I gave a higher rating. Cinderella is just not a fairytale that I like. I don't think the series is boring, the first book may be a bit, but it gets better when the series continues. Every book has two different main characters, so even when you do not really like a character, the role of that character in the next book will be a lot lower. Hope this answers some of your questions :)

Thanks! I keep seeing Cress in the library and I'm like, I'll come bacck for you. But I think I'll start the series when I've got nothing to read. One of the main reasons I want to read it is because I love friendships in books and seeing that this has multiple characters, this might just be the book I'm looking for!

I really loved the series!! I thought it was a great fairytale retelling and a lot better than some others that I have read that are supposed to be a retelling but are just barely based on the fairytale. I loved the characters and I dont think Cinder is brattish. I don't like buying books before reading them so I reckon you should get them out of the library first just to make sure you like it.
For me I just use Libby or Overdrive. Which is your libraries ebooks and audiobooks. I only read the first one and really enjoyed it. But I got kind of bored with the second. Furthermore it was good. But it all depends on what you like. And Cinder was not bratish. I really liked her as a character.
This is probably my very favorite book series! I was also a nervous going into it! I do want you to know that the first few chapters of Cinder (book 1) are a little hard to get through and the book in whole is a bit slow, but interesting. (Only because it's dystopian and you're trying to figure out what's going on and how everything works!) Please give it a chance; it is amazing and all the books after Cinder fly by. (Which is surprising because they consistently get longer. Winter is over 800 pages.) You said you love friendships in books and the core of The Lunar Chronicles is based on friendship. (There's also NO love triangles but a lot of romance!) It's really amazing! I'm not even into most space related things but this just works so well! P.S. Cinder is not a robot, she is a real person. I was a bit confused at the beginning. You'll thank me later. :) Hope I helped!
Oooh you guys are getting me so hyped! 😁
Okay I'm going to take the plunge....as soon as I've finished with the books I'm currently reading 🙄

Is it babyish?
Is it boring?
Has it got a bratish main character? (Can't stand those)
Has it got good writing?
Is this a good intro to fairytale retellings for someone who hasn't read one before?
Thanks in advance!
