Does Simon ever find out that Lucy and Davy/the mage are his parents?

Not in the book. In some fan fictions he does. But in Rainbow Rowell's version, he always assumes the Mage just favoured him, and that the whisper "my rosebud boy" was baz's mum Natasha.
