Fist off, I want to say how genius of an idea it was for him to show the different people (races) as animals. This is a story that should be shared with kids and making the characters animals allows the distance required to show almost everything without losing your audience.
Just got my book from the library and I absolutely love the way it looks! I haven't even started reading yet but I know I'll love it. Good book choice

I have really enjoyed the beginning and the backstory told as a memoir. I find the narrative of the family interview engaging.
I too am enjoying the way the story is being told. I had to prepare myself for the heavy subject and have been surprised at some of the lighthearted moments.
