Why was Hoyt so fixated on Jane versus Catherine Cordell?

Tracey (trakka) | 407 comments I think he saw Jane as a bigger challenge as she was the stronger woman. Also he could sense that Jane would try and hunt him down whereas Catherine ran from him (don't blame her!!).

I believe that, too, and I also think he found her a formidable adversary, which excited him. He couldn’t get her to fear him like the others, either, and that’s what made both her and Catherine a challenge.
