Douglas Adams and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is the cornerstone of comical scifi. And definitely worth to read. But most of us want to go beyond that and sometimes finding a good humorous scifi is hard to come by.
I really enjoyed Scalzi's Redshirt. It was a fast, light read, just perfect for a summer day when you can stop to enjoy. I really loved Scalzi's The Android's Dream. It was well written and the story was compelling. When I read it I forgot the world around me.
I liked Yahtzee Croshaw's Jam, it had an excellent start, but the ending was a bit of disappointment (at least for me). His Will Save the Galaxy for Food is humorous scifi, but I didn't like it. It wasn't as good as his Mogworld or Jam.

Full disclosure, I wrote this, but Alien A La Carte is a humorous take on the life of a space chef. It released this week. I would consider providing a freebee in return for an honest, and I do mean honest, review...if that is allowed here. LizaRose
