James drew his bow, sighted, and shot. Bullseye again... He thought. It would be a lot more exciting if I missed. He shook his head at the thought. Being an Apollo kid, he never missed. At times, it got boring, but at least he would never miss even under pressure. James looked around for anyone in his line of sight. He saw no one.
James eventually got bored, so he grabbed his dagger from his boot and threw it at the target, and it sliced one of his arrows in half lengthwise down the shaft, finally reaching the center of the target. He went to retrieve it from the target, but it was stuck fast. "Gosh darn it!" James exclaimed as he attempted to tug the dagger free.
James whipped around when he heard laughter. "If you're gonna laugh, come do it to my face!" He shouted. He turned back to the target and braced his feet against the bottom of the target, and finally pulled the dagger free, falling backwards when he did.
Emily came out from behind the tree still laughing. "Man, you don't need to be so rude." She saw him fall on the ground and ran right up to him. "OMG! Are you okay?"
James smirked. "I'm fine." He pushed himself back up and stuffed his dagger back into his boot. "And who do you happen to be?" He asked.

Sammy let an arrow fly. It fell short about a foot from the target.
Sometimes he pretended his cat could talk. Now was one f those times. "Man, you're terrible."
Colton watched the boy shooting arrows, seeing that he was probably not an Apollo kid with the way he was missing the target.
He looked down at the tabby. "Really? You couldn't do any better."
The cat casually licked his paw. "Well, yeah, but I'm a cat."
The cat casually licked his paw. "Well, yeah, but I'm a cat."
He stood up and started silently walking towards the boy and his cat. One of his favorite things to do was sneak up on people.
Sammy heard quiet breathing and jumped. "Ahh!"
"Oh. You scared me. Let me guess, you were watching me shoot?"
"Yep. I was." Colton walked up next to Sammy. "Here, let me show you the best way to never miss."
Colton picked up a bow and drew. "Make sure to take your time and focus. When you see your target, take a deep breath and release." Colton released the arrow, and it hit the center of the target.
Kibbles rubbed up against Colton's leg.
Sammy laughed. "You're a good shot. My cat seems to like you. His name is Kibbles, by the way."
Sammy laughed. "You're a good shot. My cat seems to like you. His name is Kibbles, by the way."
"I'm Sammy," He said, taking his hand.
"Aether. Apollo, huh? Thet explains the archery."
"Sure." He pulled the string back, took a breath, and let the arrow fly. It hit low on the target, but it still hit the target. "Yes!"
He did and got a bullseye, but just barley. "YES!!"
"Thanks. That's my first bullseye ever."
"Thank you? So, how long have you been at camp?"
"Wow. I've been here for about a half a week."
