Every person with a disability who has ever read a book about a character with a disability has noticed that there are some things that author's just don't seem to get. Me? Well, my biggest pet peeve is the absence of people with disabilities, especially queer people with disabilities. I also absolutely hate when characters with disabilities enter magical realms and are magically cured. The absence of disabled characters within SF is annoying for me as an avid SF reader.
