Illumicrate Challenge
Illumicrate is a UK Book Subscription Box that I get. Typically there's two books in each box and I would like to read all of the features books since I started getting the box.

YALC Reading Challenge
I am attending the Young Adult Literature Convention in London for the 5th time and I'm hoping to read as many of these as I can before I go. This is more of a TBR for the event rather than a challenge.

I've just finished
and it was absolutely incredible. Loved it so much and absolutely cannot wait till the third book comes out.
Not sure what to read next.

Not sure what to read next.
I love superheroes, so that Wonder Woman book is very intriguing to me! I've seen a lot of these sort of superhero books and they have me really excited!

I want to read The Diabolic too!
Looks like you get some interesting books out of Illumicrate! I always wondered how worthwhile boxes like that were, If I was in the UK I would probably try that one. I really want to read Wonder Woman Warbringer.
Since my last update here I've finished
which was fab and I have just this minute finished reading
and I absolutely loved every second of it. Cannot wait for the second book to come out. Can't believe I have to wait a year. This is why I don't usually read books as soon as they release.
Going to read
and
before starting
I'm so excited. I love Renee's books :)

I'm attending YALC and trying to do the same thing! Going to try read Children of Blood and Bone this month before YALC in July! So excited :D
YAY!!! It would be awesome to hang out at YALC :)
I'll be reading Children of Blood and Bone this month also. It's up next after I've finished Smoke in the Sun

Yes of course. I've gone to every single one since it started. That's why I'm doing my YALC reading challenge. I'm trying to read as many as I can before I go.
Haven't updated here for a while.
I finished reading
and
I gave them 3 and 2 stars respectively. I love this series but with each novella being only 8 pages long I didn't really see the purpose of them.
Finished reading
which was our June group read and I adored it. Such a fantastic book. I can't wait for the sequel. It was a 5 star read.
Finished my re-read of
and loved it again.

Me either Heather. We don't have too long until July when we can read it. I'm going to try and read as many YALC books as I can first though since I go in less than a month.
I finished reading
and I really enjoyed it. I gave it 4 stars. It was nothing like I was expecting at all but it was so addictively good. I don't know why I was under the impression this was a YA book but it is definitely not YA. Not in the slightest. It's such a dark retelling. I couldn't believe just how deceptively dark it was but I really liked it. It definitely had that unputdownable quality.

I'm doing YALC prep reading as well, though I don't have as many as you! I've read Sally Nicholls' Things A Bright Girl Can Do this month, and I have Children of Blood and Bone and Radio Silence to read next month.
Hi Jo,
Hope you enjoy your YALC books. I have that many just because I already had them and thought what a perfect opportunity to catch up on reading them lol.
I adored Children of Blood and Bone so hope you love it as much as I did.

Fair enough! I had actually already read a couple of books from authors who were going before they were announced, so I had less than I probably would have otherwise. I hope so too, everyone else seems to have loved it, I don't want to be the black sheep!
I'm not really a big lover of contemporary books, as I much prefer fantasy but I've just finished
and I cannot recommend this book enough.
There is such a great message behind it. It tackles what it's like living as a girl and the double standards that we experience every day. Told from the point of view of a hilarious, completely flawed yet unapologetic bubbly protagonist I loved it.
It's a little slow to start but once I hit the 100 page mark I couldn't put it down.

Think it would work to listen to Kay? I do think it sounds good and I like those types of characters.
Yes, I think it would be great to listen too. If the narrator is good it would be even more hilarious to actually hear it I think.
Need some help guys, these are the final books I have to read before my book con in a fortnight. Which one should I read next?

Lost Boy because I really want to know if its any good. Otherwise Where She Went since I loved those two books.
So I went with
and I am loving it so much. I’m about half way through and starting to get a bit worried. With it being inspired by Tristan and Isoelt I can’t see this ending well :’(

I absolutely loved it. Gave it 5 stars. The ending broke me a little bit but I have massively high hopes for book 2. What a fantastic storyline and characterisation.
Not sure what I'm reading next. It'll either be Lost Boy or A Sky Painted Gold. Can't believe I'm down to my final 2 YALC books.

Ive added it to my tbr. I actually dont really know the story of Tristan and Eseult I dont think. But the book sounds so good.
I think it's better if you don't to be honest. It follows the story really well but then you kinda know some of the things that are gonna happen.
I can't wait for book 2 next year
I can't wait for book 2 next year
I'm hoping, since it's gonna be a trilogy and they're already 2/3 through the Tristan and Eseult tale that it'll be used as a base to go onto other things happening. Hoping it strays away from the tale in book 2 so I can be surprised
I'm about 70% through
and I'm really enjoying it. I'm not a big fan of historical novels but this one is really good so far.

Me being me decided to read the Red Queen prequel novellas before I started to read Red Queen. They’re definitely better read after Red Queen. I was a bit lost and the second novella I just didn’t finish as I was bored stupid.
