A very interesting story - fantastically creative format for such a difficult story to tell

LOVED it! Particularly the second half. My first graphic novel and I think that format is the draw for this book. I’ve read a lot of historical fiction based around WW2 and sometimes they blend together but this will always stand out in my mind. The graphic novel makes for a light format but contrasted with heavy content is the Holocaust will linger with me always.

Agree so much. It is maybe hard at first to say "Graphic Novel and the holocaust!? Aren't graphic novels for humor and superheros". But, this approach drives home the points and makes it memorable.

Over the last couple of decades I have come to love Graphic Novels, most especially the serious GNs. Anything by Moore, Gaiman and Gibbons is sure to be serious, even if super-hero-ish, and I love them!My go to label is Vertigo. Almost everything they publish is serious and very, very good since they are one of the few that allow the authors total control. IDW and Image are pretty good for that too.
