Book Loving Kiwis discussion

With May almost over I thought we should get some nominations going for a July group read (I've skipped June).

Comment below with a book you'd like to nominate. A few rules below:

- Should be set in NZ or written by a Kiwi author
- If you are a NZ author you can only nominate your book if it is fairly easy to get hold of (available in print and e-book). You must have also commented at least 30 times on the group's page.

Nominations will close Sunday 17 June 2018. I'll let put up a poll - most votes win (one vote per person).

Do you mean Right Between the Eyes? Is it available in paperback? I can only see kindle editions available. Nominated books should be relatively available for our members (in both paper and e-book versions).

"Purgatory" by Rosetta Allan, published 2014. A fascinatingly different book which has elements of fact and fantasy interwoven. Based on an 1865 murder in Otahuhu, Auckland. Written by an NZ author.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton - she wrote it at 28z

Set in New Zealand's South Island in 1866, the novel follows Walter Moody, a prospector who travels to the fledgling West Coast settlement of Hokitika to try to make his fortune on nearby goldfields. Instead, he stumbles into a tense meeting between twelve local men, and is drawn into a complex mystery that is covering up a series of unsolved crimes.
