I'm here and up for a discussion! My reading preferences are all over the board, but I'm looking for a great speculative fiction novel. Not necessarily space adventures or aliens (although I'm not opposed to them) but more along the lines of Stephen King's "Cookie Jar," where something in the normal world is just not quite right.
How about you?

Cookie Jar
it's a pity there isn't any discussion taking place here. in case someone decides to venture here in a decade, and might find this interesting. Currently reading The Myth of Normal by Gabor Maté — and it’s one of those books that really gets under your skin (in the best way).It challenges the idea that chronic conditions are set in stone by our genetics. Instead, it explores how our physical, social, and psychological environment can “turn genes on or off,” shaping not just our health, but how we live with illness.
That idea—of illness as something more malleable than we’ve been led to believe—is incredibly powerful. It replaces helplessness with hope.
💬 If you’ve ever read something that changed how you view your own health, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
