2025 & 2026 Reading Challenge discussion

This is the discussion thread for The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro Primordium - Chapter 1 to 11

Hi everyone!
The first 11 chapters were a fast read but not too exciting. Just the lead up to the big reveal and the hopefully exciting parts! The swearing and violence got to me but was needed while describing the south american jungle.
I really like Elisa . She seems like a strong character. Very intuitive with her senses since she's mute.
I think Strickland will be interesting too but most likely polar opposite to Elisa.
Looking forward to the next part as it's starting to pick up.
Oh and Zelda cracks me up. I love her humour and sarcasm,

Nice to know, I have read some chapters and don't really feeling this. Oh, too much football to read anything.
