Oooh so glad you're enjoying it so far! Keep me updated with what you think :)

1) It feels like the book could have been written now. What I mean is, some books from 'back then' sound dated and are hard to read. Dorian Gray (to me) wasn't like that. It flowed nicely; I forgot I was reading a classic; and the story absolutely came to life.
2) Even though it is a classic, I wasn't spoiled by it (I mean the ending yes lol) but how it got to the ending. There was one part and I won't say when when I literally screamed (not in an 'ah, it's scary way, but in an OMGOSHWHATJUSTHAPPENED" way
3) I read this while watching Penny Dreadful. So there's that ;)
4) Thinking about the thrill of being young and beautiful forever mixed with the actual reality of it is interesting.
Love. It.

It's so good lol. Some nudity, but it's got great stories. I may have had a huge crush on Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett lol)
I just started it (i’ve only read a chapter) and i’ve already highligted a few quotes so i already know i’m gonna love it 😍
It's a classic that I've read several times and absolutely love. Oscar Wilde's prose is beautiful and the themes this novel deals with are so powerful. I have a section in my journal dedicated solely to quotes from this book 😂so here are a few of my favourites that will hopefully intrigue you if you've never read it before:
"I have grown to love secrecy. It seems to be the one thing that can make modern life mysterious or marvellous to us. The commonest thing is delightful if only one hides it."
"The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame."
"With an evening coat and a white tie, as you told me once, anybody, even a stockbroker, can gain a reputation for being civilised."
