What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book about 7 years ago on my kindle. I think the boy starts a fire (possibly in a forest) in the prologue. The story then flashes forward several years to the boy who is now a teen/young adult living with his grandmother. He no longer seems troubled and wants to go out with a girl that he used to like. His grandmother encourages this, but the boy gets jealous and some of his previous destructive tendencies reappear when he finds out that she has a boyfriend.

Where do they live - country, region, big city/small town?

Is there much romance?

No paranormal or fantasy elements, so it's not Arson. I'm pretty sure it took place in a small town in the US, and there was some romance.
