The Endless Forest discussion

((This is an area of the forest that is more of a jungle (a rainforest, basically)))

Taro sat by the river running through the trees, choked by thick vines and green underbrush. She batted at a fly that buzzed towards her fresh kill. This was hers, and no one else’s. Certainly not some fly’s.

Alessandria sat on the ground, smiling at a little ladybug, her red hair floating slightly behind her.

Taro growled, protective of her food. She ate the final quarter and sat back on her haunches, satisfied.

Alessandria turned around when she heard a noise.

She laid down, putting her head on her paws, and watched the girl with red hair.

Alessandria stood up and walked over carefully.

Taro jerked her head up. “What do you want?” She growled, shifting to her human form.

Alessandria jumped back, "oh, I'm sorry," she said crossly, "I didn't know that you weren't friendly."

“Depends on the day,” she smirked. She stood up to face the girl.

Alessandria frowned, "that makes not a bit of sense."

“Sure it does.” She frowned. “Why would it not?”

"Because I don't want it to," she said with a laugh, "come on, I was messing with you."

“Okay,” she said edgily.

Alessandria sighed, "oh come on."

“What?” She asked defensively.

"I'm not going to bite or anything."

Taro looked at the dark sky, and retreated back under the trees. “Come on,” She motioned to the girl.

Alessandria nodded and followed her, floating, into the trees.

“Whoa. You can float?” She made a face.

"Sort of," she said, her feet were of the ground like a centimeter.

“What do you mean, sort of?” She wrinkled her nose.

"I can't go very high," she said and pointed to her feet.

“But you are technically still floating. So you can’t say ‘sort of’”. She shook her head in distaste.

Alessandria rolled her eyes, "whatever," she muttered.

Taro shifted back to her lion form and sniffed the air. “Rain.” She told the girl.

Alessandria smiled, "I see that," she said, pointedly looking at the clouds.

“Clouds don’t mean rain.” She rolled her eyes.

"But sometimes they do," she pointed out.

“Sometimes. But that doesn’t mean it’s a consistent method for measuring rain.”

"No, but I was assuming it was going to rain somewhere sometime, I wasn't implying now and here."

“Well, duh.” She scoffed. “But why would you randomly state that somewhere it’s gonna rain? That makes no sense.” She rested her head on her paws, done with the argument.

"Because its fun to confuse people," she said, unfazed.

Taro ignored her and watched the sky instead.

"What's your name?"

“Taro,” She grumbled.

"Fun! Mine's Alessandria."

“Fun? Who says fun?” She grumbled under her breath.

"Me, I do," she snapped back at her.

“Just kind of … out of the times,” She retorted.

"Uhuh? And do I look like I care?"

“Actually, yes.” She smirked.

She cocked her head, "well, I don't."

“Good for you.” She stood up and stretched.

Alessandria shrugged, "is it?"

“I guess. If you want it to be,” she sighed.

"That depends, doesn't it," Alessandria loved being annoying.

“On what?” She asked irritably.

"On what you want to say."

“Okay, that makes NO sense.” She shook her head disdainfully.
