What are your thoughts on this section of Lord of Chaos?

My thoughts: Alanna bonding Rand like that was a big surprise for me on my first read and it's an important plot point moving forward. I love the chapter where Egwene gets pulled into Gawyn's dreams. Rand realizing who is mother is is another big reveal I have just been waiting on as a rereader!

Finished section 2 this seems to be mostly setup. Lots will probably happen in the second half. Looks like loial is in for a surprise... the magic bowl... mats army... the forsaken scheming, rands school, the two towers scheming... I’ve read the series before but I don’t remember everything that happens and in which books so I don’t know how this one will end but I’m think it will be enjoyable.

Yes, I agree Scott, a decent amount of set up in this section, but also a few big things happened too! It's definitely building up to an epic second half :)
