What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

beginning of the book is a wedding where the girl exits before marriage is complete she exits quickly through window possibly door and into a carriage with a man she does not know. I read this book in around 2010, 2012

this sounds like the book. the bride escaped the marriage while standing at the alter. I believe this was in England around the year 1800's. the bride ends up in the strangers carriage heading to his residence. he becomes the hero in the book. while she stays at his home. a friend of this stranger has also involved in in the story at the home. I don't remember reading a book by karol monk. But I think this is the book. You girls are awesome, such a quick response.
