Trans-Atlantic Bibliophiles discussion

I decided to sit down and read this one, since the last book we read I didn't get to. Bummer. I enjoyed Kabut Beauty School. I sometimes had a hard time getting into it based on the fact that it was centered around "beauty", and I'm not that into hair and makeup, but I did enjoy the fact that it talked about women learning how to do what they enjoyed; everyone likes to be beautiful. In all, I learned a lot about the different country and the customs, etc. I did not like the fact that the main character left her 2 sons in America for months at a time, even though they were with grandma; it was cool was she was trying to accomplish, but I don't think putting something above being a mother is ever going to be more important. Anyways, it was a good read and I enjoyed it.
