I thought the McGill turning back into his original self was interesting, although I thought, he got over wanting revenge on Allie a little too quick, but I’m glad they have each other.
Allie skinjacking the jogger was really good. I liked that the jogger’s soul resisted and even outsmarted Allie. I panicked when Allie went in the water but part of me was fine with her sinking to the center of the earth, Lol.
I’m glad Nick figured out the coins and helped all those children cross over, to the real final destination.
I figured Mary was going to be a jerk, but I wonder what’s her real motivation. I know she wants to be in control but keeping all those souls from their real end is so selfish. I just hope their is more to her reasoning because right now, I just don’t like it. I will say it was smart how she started the lies about Nick. Also you called the McGill being her brother!
I thought Vari and Pinhead’s storyline was okay. I just wish Vari had chosen another name for himself instead of the McGill. I know Pinhead has said he’s not a leader but I was kind of hoping he would take over the ship, but I’ll be interested to see what they get into, in the next books.

Ha! I thought the same thing too. The McGill sure overcame his anger at Allie very quickly. And I wanted her to sink too, LOL. I think out of all the characters, her story was the most boring. Well, not boring but not as fun or interesting as the rest.
Oh and I loved how Mary's story has turned for the worst! Seems like she's going to be the villain while being the good guy to the little kids, while Nick is going to be the bad guy although he's really trying to help the afterlights. I hope the next book is more about these two,
I'm with you on Vari and Pinhead. Vari doesn't seem much of a monster/villain so I'm not liking this turn of events. Although maybe Pinhead will manipulate Vari into doing bad things so he's more of a puppet for Pinhead to use.
Overall, this was a very fun book. I'm actually looking forward to reading book 2.
Oh and I was sad Lief is gone, although happy he was able to get where he was going. I liked his character.
So, are you going to do a review on YouTube? Should we do something fun with the wrap-up? Maybe write a few questions for each other or do an interview kind of video? LOL, or is that too much work?

I also would have loved to know more about Leif. It was bittersweet when he moved on.
I love that both of us wanted Allie to sink!! Lol!! Her story started out nice but it seemed to be so built up and then nothing really happened. Leif and Nick went along with her schemes and got caught and after all that she didn’t even go home.
I will say, even though I may not like Mary’s reasoning behind keeping souls in Everlost, the girl does move fast. I wonder how in the world, Nick is going to fight back against her lies about him. She can travel quicker with the Hindenburg and she probably knows what to look for and where to look for souls.
I did a mini review in my End of Month wrap-up but it wasn’t complete because I wasn’t finished reading. If you want to do an interview type thing, I could probably just film something separate or maybe include it in another wrap-up. Right now it feels like a lot of work, but only, because I can’t think of any questions, Lol. But it does sound like fun!

Yeah, doing a buddy video does sound like a lot of work. I've actually haven't recorded a video in over a week! I'm so behind. My husband just bought me 6 bookshelves and I've been organizing my books and realizing how many I need to read, LOL. Fun project but it's taking my time away from YouTube...although I thought about vlogging the transformation, but I'm not very good with vlogs so I decided against it.
Anyway, thank you so much for buddy reading Everlost with me. I really enjoyed the experience of talking with someone about the book. I don't have any reader friends who live close enough to do this sort of thing and I've never been a part of a book club so this was a nice experience. I hope you had fun too! And we should do this again! :D

I’ve been slacking a little with YouTube too. I barely got my Tome Topple wrap-up edited and posted. I started a new job and everything is off, I haven’t read anything since Sunday and I’ve only watched 1 or 2 Booktube videos all week. I’ve got the Beauty and the Beast tag video, that you tagged me in, filmed(did it early last month) and still need to edit it. Ugh, I hate making adjustments, lol!! Hopefully I’ll get things back on track soon.
Yay for the new bookshelves!!! I can understand about vlogging. I’ve wanted to do it too but I just don’t think I would be that interesting.

Congrats on starting a new job! I'm sure you'll find your rhythm soon. It's always hard starting a new job and having to learn everything.
Yay, you did the tag! I can't wait to see it. :D
I'm actually going to try vlogging this week since I"m going to be going to a book sale at my local library. Crossing my fingers I'm brave enough to film while there amongst all the real life people. LOL

Thanks for the congrats. Yes learning everything when starting a new job is tough but I have definitely been praying my way through and I’m getting the hang of things.
Good luck with your vlogging. I don’t think I’m their yet, maybe one day, Lol!!! Although it shouldn’t be a problem because so many people do it now.
