johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 7675 comments Apparently I'm really into rants of late. Oh, well. This is important for all of us to remember, guys; I know I forget it a lot.

I just want to remind everyone that everybody has opinions; that's a given. If you wish to voice your opinion, great stuff, don't let us stop you (although if your opinion is likely to start a fight, sometimes it's wiser to stay quiet). Buuut, please, voice it as your personal opinion (yes, even with things you strongly believe are objective), and not as objective fact that must be accepted and approved by everyone else. You aren't going to let someone see the wisdom in your side of the argument if you try to shove it down their throat.
Rule 2 of this group is, and I quote, "No being rude. Fandoms united is our key. Don't like Harry Potter? Keep it to yourself and go comment on the thread for your appropriate fandom."
Fandoms united, yes? If you like a fandom, cool! If you dislike it, that's fine! That's your opinion. Don't go and try and stick it in everyone else's faces by dissing the thing and the people who make it. Isn't it great that people are making things for other people's enjoyment? Isn't it also great that we're all different and like different things? If someone likes something you don't, you should be happy for them, not mocking them for it.

Just remember to think about what you're posting before you click that post button. If it could potentially hurt someone else's feelings, don't post it. Makes my job a whole lot easier.

Thanks for reading.

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 7675 comments Hmm. You could do that on the regular threads, yeah. Just put your opinion in a spoiler tab if you think it's on a heated/controversial topic. But as long as you put it nicely, without being nasty, there shouldn't be any trouble.
