Robert McCammon discussion

Is anyone interested in doing the Robert McCammon Challenge? It's where we read one McCammon book a month in chronological order starting with Baal.

That sounds good to me although I just started The Listener so I might be going in the reverse.

That's not a problem. Many of these will be re-reads for me. I think it will be fun to go through and read some of these old classics and see how much McCammon grew as a writer. In my opinion, McCammon, unlike King, has gotten better as he's aged and I really don't think he has a clunker in his whole catalog.

many titles — Baal, Bethany’s Sin, The Night Boat, The Wolf’s Hour, among others — I’ve never read.

You will LOVE them especially The Wolf’s Hour! I’ve read Boys Life 5 times!

I've re-read some of these 3-4 times, but am always up for McCammon. Won't be able to join in for a while yet, but I'll jump in at some point. :)

I would love to participate, but I'm not sure I'm up for one book each month. Why not start on a smaller scale and try to read the Matthew Corbett books every other month?

I'm in! Thanks to Hunter for the email and pointing us in the right direction. Have read them all, so all will be rereads....but he is my fav author, so I'm ALL IN!!

I am in! Haven't read many of his older books, so I'm super excited for this! Just need to get my hands on a copy of Baal...

Please add me as well, I would love to join in this. I've read several of his novels and have a few others on my bookshelf. I wish I would have discovered him when I was younger and some of these were first coming out!
