My wife said she thought it was a forced insemination by Noelle - and Noelle does say she bought the sperm - but I got the feeling that she was just making that up. And, in the end, the note says that she really doesn't know how she got pregnant. Seems like she would have noticed forced insemination. Did I miss something that my wife didn't? Or, is the potential that it is an immaculate conception a cool twist to the story? (hide spoiler)]

Honestly I'm thinking (view spoiler)[ turkey baster, ugh. It would be a cool twist but there was no hint of anything other worldly in the book. Maybe if there was a hint to that, then yeah (hide spoiler)]
