Brain Pain discussion

This is our planned reading and discussion schedule for William Gaddis’ second novel, J R.


In looking through the book, I could find no reliable way to break up the reading into meaningful weekly chunks. Maybe, if I read the book in its entirety, I could discern some natural break points, but for now we’re just gonna wing it and have a single, six-week-long discussion. I would ask, however, that if you find some major plot point that might be considered a spoiler, please consider placing your comment in a spoiler format.

The discussion will run from August 11th through September 21st, 2014.
