Angel appears to be very shy and quiet. She hardly speaks to people, because she has nothing to say. Angel suffers from anxiety around certain people, so she just chooses to speak to no one. Angel is very brave, but also very impulsive. She would be a very good friend to have because of her undying loyalty. Angel hardly feels emotions anymore, which is why she may come off as rude.

Angel was a very lively child growing up. Her parents had very little money but they made sure their daughter was well taken care of. One day, in winter, Angel's family decided to go out for dinner. Their car slid on the ice and crashed into a ravine. Angel wad the only survivor. She lost both of her arms, her left eye and her left leg. Angel's missing parts were replaced with robotic limbs. She also received a very realistic robotic eyeball. Angel had no family in the area, so she lived in an orphan edge until she was 17, when she was able ton use the money that her parents left her. She got an apartment and became a writer for the newspaper.

p(view spoiler)[hanae is a normally cheerful girl. she keeps an optimistic outlook on everything, despite the situation she, as well as everyone else is in. she is a thrill seeker, which is part of what led her to her life of crime. she does jobs for people, stealing things, vandalizing buildings, hurting, or even killing people. (hide spoiler)] p2(view spoiler)[ hanae has a very curious side to her, to the point where it's almost obsessive. she'll do anything to find out information on someone that she finds interesting. hanae doesn't know how to hold her tongue, and because she's human, has suffered greatly for it. many people have told her to watch what she says around robots, but she slips up most of the time. h(view spoiler)[even before the separation between robots and humans began, hanae's family was in debt. her father was obsessed with gambling, and would often put everything on the line. on some days her family would be rich, and on other days they'd be flat broke until he won more money. her mother disapproved of this, but she was too timid to say anything due to his somewhat violent behavior. this happened when he was angry, or when someone pointed out his very obvious flaws. (hide spoiler)] h2(view spoiler)[ when hanae was a toddler, she was treated like an adult. she practically did everything for her parents, so her family wouldn't be torn apart. school was her only escape, as well as a certain friend she had made. this friend was a terrible influence, often getting her into trouble. they would commit crimes like pick pocketing, vandalism, and things like that. eventually, their crimes took a darker turn. the first time it was an accident. hanae's friend used a gun, and "accidentally" shot someone who noticed them trying to take his wallet. the rush of exhilaration hanae felt was immeasurable. soon, they started to commit crimes like murder.

Yuki is rather childish person who disregards responsibility and just tries her best to have fun. She's kind hearted and always wears a warm cheerful smile. Yuki often gets excited over the smallest things. Yuki is rather dense and doesn't seem to know much about the world, so naturally she's rather curious. However, this fun loving girl isn't the only side to her, in fact she has a split personality she isn't exactly fully aware of. This split personality of hers is rather troublesome to Yuki because it leaves blank spots in her memory. This side of Yuki is rather cautious and seemingly harsh towards most. {For the purpose of my sanity, I shall refer to this side of Yuki as Kiera.} Unlike Yuki, Kiera seems painfully aware of Yuki and the world. She doesn't really seem to trust easily and always takes control whenever Yuki's in dangerous situations or talking to dangerous people. Kiera is mainly the reason Yuki hasn't taken candy from a stranger or walked into a strangers van. Unlike Yuki, Kiera is rather responsible. Kiera is also rather dangerous, and wouldn't even hesitate to hurt someone if need be. When she's in control she always manages to anger some people and get into fights.

Yuki didn't really have the perfect family growing up. Her parents had abandoned Yuki and her older brother when they were still really young. The two were raised by a woman who knew their parents. The woman was always busy and hardly had the time to play with them or properly take care of them. Yuki never seemed to care though and was always content with the fact she had her older brother. Her older brother, Katzumi, became aware of his sister's split personality after a few weird encounters with her split personality and quickly became adapt to handling it. He gave the other personality the name Kiera and kept her a secret from his sister, for fear it may somehow effect her in some way. He came up with the theory that Yuki had subconciously made Kiera in hopes of staying hopeful forever, but had no proof. He did his best to keep Kiera out of fights, but wasn't always sucessful and just found him getting dragged into the fights she was in. When Yuki was about 10, Yuki was caught in a fight with some people Kiera had recently fought with. They had come up to Yuki with knives. Kiera hadn't taken over in time though, and they lost their left eye in the knife fight. In the end, it was a robot that Katzu created who was the one who saved them. Yuki's foster mother had payed for the surgery to get Yuki a new eye, hence why she now has a robotic eye. She also has a lingering scar on her right arm. 2 years after that incident, Yuki's foster mother died from an unknown disease. The two siblings have lived alone since.

p1(view spoiler)[nelo is a robot who shows very little emotion. while she does feel emotion, she prefers to keep it low key. she often wears a neutral expression. nelo keeps to herself, and would rather not socialize with other people because she is a robot. most humans and even some cyborgs have a growing hatred towards her, despite the separation not being her fault. she has been attacked countless times by humans who think that killing her would prove a point. (hide spoiler)] p2(view spoiler)[despite how frail nelo looks, she actually is incredibly strong, and her robotic body can endure a lot. no part of her is human, yet she was programmed to be like one. she is great at household chores, which has led her to believe that she might've only been created to work as a servant. she struggles with trying to find her purpose, as she thinks she doesn't have one. h1(view spoiler)[nelo's creator was a human, and she was created after the separation began. it was a surprise to many of her creator's family members, who began to ostracize her. they thought she'd attack them, etc. the only human she was ever close to was her creator, who didn't seem afraid of robots at all. she'd spend most of her time with them, and was rarely alone. eventually, her creator died of old age, and she was left alone. the creators family still didn't trust her. Katsu, much like his sister, prefers to have fun and live in the moment. He pays close attention to his suroundings and if push comes to shove he'll take initiative and be responsible. Naturally, he's overprotective over Yuki, so much that sometimes it's overbearing. He, much like Kiera, has trust issues, though not noticeable or especially severe. He just doesn't trust people who keeps big secrets or people with hidden intentions. He practically never gives in to anyone other than his sister, so you'd have to be pretty special to be able to get him to change his mind about anything. He's considerably patient, and despite how he may act, he's actually considerably smart and relies more on his wits than his strengths. This does not mean he's slow or weak, he exercises daily and is rather strong and fast. He's extremely caring and sweet. He'd always find himself taking in injured animals. He's also really energetic and easy to anger. He hates being called "sister lover" and can be a bit full of himself at times.

He did his best to keep Kiera out of fights, but wasn't always sucessful and just found him getting dragged into the fights she was in. In order to keep Yuki safe, he decided to make a robot that would protect her. He made the robot look and act like a human around their age. When he was about 12, he was programming the last finishing touches on the protection robot he had named Kurosawa. Just as he finished the programming, he got a live video feed from one of the small flying robots he had follow Yuki at all times. When he saw what happened he sent Kurosawa over there to help Yuki defend herself against the ones who had conerned her. He ran there as fast as he could and he and Kurosawa had just barely save Yuki, however they didn'tget there fast enough to save her left eye. Yuki's foster mother had payed for the surgery to get Yuki a new eye. The surgeons wanted to use a synthetic eye, however Katsu made a robotic eye that looked exactly like her other one and made them use that one in the surgery. Whenever he was asked, he would always respond that he didn't want his sister to have an eye she couldn't even see out of. After his surgery he added a few more programs so Kurosawa would develop his own personality. He later introduced Kurosawa to Yuki and told her he were to be their new older brother. Two years after that incident, Yuki's foster mother died from an unknown disease. Katsu, Yuki, Kurosawa, and the other robots lived alone ever since.

x Corvina is not trustworthy, not honest, and generally not a very good person. She’s a little bit broken, and she knows it. She knows a lot of things. She knows she should be dead instead of her brother. It was her fault, after all, she tells herself. She could’ve saved him. She tries to forget, but whenever she’s alone it comes back to haunt her, so she spends her time dallying around and using people, or partying and drinking. She also knows that’s not what she wants. But it’s what’s expected of her, so she does it. She’s sassy and playful, but not in an innocent way. No one ever really loved her, or taught her to love, or care, so she doesn’t. But really all she wants is to know that someone in this world cares. But you can’t bring back the dead.

x Calla, John, Corvina, and Forrest Hastings were at their lakefront house one summer, for approximately a week before they’d head back home. They were sitting on the beach and eating their lunch, like a proper family. They appeared perfect, from a distance. But once you got closer, you could see the ribs beneath Corvina’s shirt, how her father smacked her hand when she reached for seconds. Forrest’s scars down his back. Forrest was playing in the lake, barely a six year old, until he made the mistake of splashing water. It hit their lunch and the next thing any of them knew, he was being dragged into the house by Calla. Corvina rushed after them, and watched as her brother was beaten to death. Her mother came out smiling and drove Corvina to school the next day.

She still likes to learn new things, but now deems certain types of information useless because she doesn't feel the value anymore. She is extremely protective over her younger, fourteen-year-old brother, and never wants him to grow up, being a super protective mom-like figure for him since their parents were always busy with their high-tech super secret job.
