I'm still pretty keen on The Lady of the Camellias, it sounded great. Also my friend just read North and South and now I'm really keen to read that.
I would suggest We Have Always Lived in the Castle (a shorter work of Daphne du Maurier, of whom I'm a big fan after Rebecca), Lolita, or The Collector by John Fowles. The latter two are for purely selfish reasons as they've been collecting dust on my bookshelf for months!

Oooh I've been wanting to read North and South as well, Laetitia! And I would definitely be keen for a children's classic Marta, Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland would be great :)

I’m on board with a children’s classic! One of favourite’s is Heidi by Johanna Spyri! Would love to read that again.
Oh I haven't read Heidi in over 20 years would love to re-read, the railway children was my favorite children's classic as a child.

I love the idea of reading a children's classic. I think Robin Hood or The Jungle Book might be fun. I only know them from the Disney movies
