A large lake beyond the outskirts of Wintervale

lorien ‧͙⁺˚*・༓ଳ | 48 comments That morning, Akiko was practically skipping to the lake. It was such a glorious and chilly morning that it was perfect to go on a stroll and have some breakfast. Needless to say, the lake was bound to be stunning when the sun kissed it on the surface. With a small pouch clipped to her side, inside were Gouda cheese, bread, and an apple, Akiko made way towards the lake in her rather plain black dress. Walking through the fields, the beautiful lake was in sight. Not caring what state the dress would be in afterwards, Akiko made a dash for it, laughing all the way till she arrived at the shore. This is marvelous! She thought, kicking off her pathetic, muddy shoes. She sat down with a plump and heartily helped herself to breakfast. While she was munching on her apple, several splashes rippled the lake. Akiko looked over to the possible source and was amazed to see a woman here as well. Lovely! Maybe she was enjoying the morning too. “Hello!” Akiko shouted, waving enthusiastically at the young lady. “Good morning!”

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle walked down the dock, bag in hand. Her sisters had sent her on official White Fang business for the first time, and she was quite excited about it. Her long black hair blew in the wind, and her black war-gear was hidden beneath her red and gold afternoon dress, along with some weapons. She wore a hat with a beautiful feather sticking out the top. Catching sight of another girl on the dock, she slipped her hand into the bag, and made it look as though she were looking for something.

Adeline | 133 comments Princess June? The Princess June? Well, her luck was certainly coming around. "Arielle, traveler from Northstar," she said looking up, doing a small curtsy. She didn't mention her last name.

Adeline | 133 comments "Tsubuki. Arielle Tsubuki," she said, looking up from her bag. "It is very nice to meet you, Your Highness." Her wavy black hair blew in the wind, as she had left it carelessly down. "I was supposed to meet someone here, but I don't think they're here yet."

Adeline | 133 comments "Thank you," Arielle said. The Princess looked around maybe 14? 15? She certainly acted far her age though. Royalty must have a hard life. "Your eyes really compliment the blues in your dress." Suddenly, she spotted her contact. He was motioning from behind a willow tree. "If you'll excuse me, Your Highness, but the person I'm to meet is here. I will be right back if you wish of me to come, back," she said, standing straight.

Adeline | 133 comments "Your sisters send their regards," Fenrir says when she comes up to him, and she smiled. "I highly doubt that, Fenrir," Arielle said. She held her hand out. "I assume you're here to give me something?" He grinned sheepishly. "You assume right," he gave her a wrapped parcel. "You know what to do, right?" Arielle rolled her eyes. "Of course I do. Kidnap the Princess, use her as leverage to force Wintervalle to help us, and then maybe return her when they agree, but one can't be to careful." He smiled. "By the way, I'm already close. That girl over there, that's her." They both looked over where she was gesturing and saw... nobody. "Well that's odd, she was just there..." Arielle's eyes narrowed. "Well, good luck," Fenrir bowed slightly, a faint smile on his face, before simply disappearing.

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle swore softly. She could maybe bring the Princess back, if she used her ability- and a good amount of it. The only problem was she had to know where the person was in order to change how they felt. Her eyes scanned the area around her, and she started walking back to where she and June had talked. It hadn't been a good idea to recite her mission in public, but it was technically a very empty public place, so she should have been fine.

Adeline | 133 comments "Hello!" Arielle said with fake pleasantness in her voice, although no one but her would know. "You disappeared so suddenly I though something bad had happened!" She curtsied deeply and then rose.

Adeline | 133 comments "But you sided as neutral," Arielle pointed out. "And I believe the ability to read minds is called telepathy. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with your mind, with just a thought." She considered what the Princess was saying. "I don't know if you're lying or not, but if you truly want to help then you can have them stand down so I don't end up in a dungeon," she glanced at the guards, a smile on her face, and batted her lashes. One of them glared at her.

Adeline | 133 comments ((Sorry for taking so long to reply! I kinda forgot about this rp. I feel really bad now))
Arielle eyed the Princess as she watched the lake water rippling. "So you truly want to help the White Fang? Why have you not convinced your parents to side with us then?" She held onto her bag tightly. The parcel Fenrir had given her was still wrapped and resting in it, and she had no intention of letting it out of her sight.

message 16: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle laughed coldly. "Do we want love? Attention? I don't mean to be rude Princess, but of all the things we want that's hardly at the top of the list." She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "What we want is control. The High King was a twit and it was time for a change, so we did what we had to do, we caused a change. Those who fight against us don't understand, don't care for a chance to have a real life. We're trying to help those who couldn't help themselves, and we're seen as the bad guys. Do you think that's fair, Princess?" She turned her gaze to the girl.

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle sighed. It wasn't like she'd expected the child to understand, but this was getting to be annoying. "That's exactly the point. He was kind only to those of noble birth, everyone else suffered. We want to change that. We want everyone to be given the homes, food, water, cloths, money, and whatever else you can think of, that they need. The rebels and legions are against the change because they don't understand that it's to help them. They think we just want control over everything, and that's not at all true."

message 18: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Now she was getting somewhere. "How will you help us then? How will you convince Their Majesties to see our side?" Arielle asked, imagining the possibilities of having another kingdom side with them. "And you don't need to be sorry, it's just how it is. But again, like I said, we can change the outcome of it all."

message 19: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle stood stock-still, unsure what to do when the Princess hugged her. "Umm..." she said, patting the girl's back. "There's no need to cry..." Please be fine she thought. "Could you maybe let go now?"

message 20: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "That's all that will take to get them to understand?" Arielle asked, a little bit surprised. "I'll get right on that then."

message 21: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "Oh, it was. Silly me," she smiled, but it wasn't a real smile. Only those who knew her really well would be able to tell anyway.

message 22: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "It would," she agreed. "When would said meeting take place? I'm supposed to be back to headquarters by the next month."

message 23: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle's brows were drawn in confusion before she realized what June was talking about. "Umm...sure?" She said, not wanting to be rude. Besides, it did kind of look...fun.

message 24: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments She sat on the swing and pushed off the ground. "We will win the war. Those who fight against us are losing resources, so we will most certainly win."

message 25: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments ((It's fine, we all get busy and forget from time to time. I've done it before XD))

Arielle sat, stunned when June upped and left. "Okay then..." she muttered, and she stood and walked to town. Checking into an inn, she went to the room and sat on the bed. Taking out the package Fenrir had given her, she opened it and almost squealed in delight when a gold dagger with ruby gems in the hilt finally emerged. Either he had stolen it or had actually saved enough to buy it, and the thought made her feel happy. Fenrir was like an older brother to her, always looking out for her. She made plans to go to the palace the next day and see if June was still there.

message 26: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Grabbing her bag when she heard shouts coming from downstairs, she opened the window in the room and jumped out onto the roof. She then climbed down into an alley and slipped out into the crowd of people going about their daily business.

message 27: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle made her way to the lake, looking for June.

message 28: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle's brow furrowed in confusion. "We just talked yesterday."

message 29: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "But we talked yesterday..." Arielle said, becoming more confused by the second. It hadn't been a dream. Couldn't have been.

message 30: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "We did talk," Arielle said, "You promised to talk to your parents and get them to work with the White Fang."

message 31: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "Who are your guards?" Arielle asked, suddenly suspicious.

message 32: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "May I meet them?" Arielle asked.

message 33: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments "But I know we met last night! Are you sure you went to a party?" Arielle asked, feeling odd about the whole thing. Something just wasn't right.

message 34: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments Arielle threw her hands up in frustration. "We are literally getting nowhere with this conversation."

message 35: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 133 comments ((Okay))

Arielle smiled softly and walked away, heading back home. She would see June again, no doubt about it.
