Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Many princes choose their Shackled by dancing with them. After all, they must keep up the facade that they are normal human princes

The King's grin widened a little. "Why, my dear, is a man not allowed to acknowledge the presence of a beautiful woman?" Georg let go of her with one hand and spun her around on the other.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments As she spun out, she waited until she returned to his grasp to respond, "I feel as if your wife has no pleasure in watching her dear husband dance around with a woman dressed as a harlot" she spoke back evenly

Goerg gave a short, harsh laugh. "What my wife, the Queen, thinks of my actions is none of your business." I like this girl. She is sharp. He smiled to himself, a predatory grin, I will have fun breaking her.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "So you do not believe in the sanction of marriage?" she asked him in a tone which was apparently soft, but as was everything with Alexandra, looks could be deceiving. She let the King continue to lead their dance

Georg chuckled at her. "Dear child, are you implying that I mean to take you to my bed?" He spun her out again, twirling her in several circles to make her dizzy. Georg watched her red hair flying through the hair and struggled to keep his fangs sheathed. Her hair reminded him of the blood that pulsed beneath her neck.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "I am implying no such thing" Alexandra said back tartly, "And you and I both know I am nothing close to a child" she said, her voice low so as only the man in front of her could hear her. She enjoyed the way he became so uncomfortable around her

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Another chuckle escaped the King. "Child, I have several sons older than you. To me, you are a child." Secretly, Georg could not wait to shook her with the revelation of his true nature and age. The look on her face would be priceless.

message 9: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "And how old are you, My Lord?" Alexandra returned, "For I feel it is inappropriate for a man, married no less, to be fawning over a mere child" The words slipped like liquid off her tongue.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

"How is it inappropriate for a man to admire a beautiful woman? I am simply appreciating the beauty that you have to offer." Georg answered her. My, my, my. He thought. She is even sharper than I though.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Need I remind I am no plaything for men to toy with?" Alexandra asked curtly, dipping with the beat of the music. "I will not be made a pawn in your game, My Lord, with all respect"

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

"My dear, you could never be a pawn" he remarked though he thought, But a plaything you will. He continued to spin her around the dance floor. He did not tire easily but he wanted her to be exhausted when he order the guards to take her to his rooms and guard the door.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Then do not treat me as one" Alexandra shot back, "I am no perfect lady, no court would ever adore me. I will not be your lady in the dark" she said, fearful this was all he wanted of her, as it had seemed only a day before in the pub.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

"I already have a lady in the dark though I have not seen her in many, many years. Do not fear this is what you will become." The King assured her. "I simply wish to see you do well in life" he lied. "When I am done, you will be one of the most desired women in the land."

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

((man they are so well suited for each other))

message 16: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "What exactly do you intend on doing to me,My Lord?" She asked back, ready to search his eyes for lies. She did admit, the idea of being well-off was enticing. She needed to make sure her mother was taken care of, and perhaps this was how she would do that

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"Your mother will be well carried for" he told her. He had researched her family and found that she lived alone with her mother. It would be no problem for him to have money and a maid sent to the house to care for the woman if it meant keeping Alexandra with him. "You will garbed in the finest gowns and be tutored by the best."

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "And what ever would Queen Jisabel think? I'm sure she does not fancy the harlot you find yourself standing near, much less enjoy her sneaking around her halls." Alexandra pointed out

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"The Queen and I have an understanding. We do not involve ourselves in each others business." He smiled. "Do not worry about the Queen. You will hardly ever see her."

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "So your wife has no qualms whatsoever with you dishonoring you wedded union?" She asked, half to hear him say it, half to just make sure whatever she was considering entering into would not wind up with her lying dead in a ditch

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Once again, the King chuckled. "My dear girl, I do not recall ever saying that you will be sharing my bed. You will have chambers to call your own, which I will not enter." Georg lied here. She would not have chambers but a cell and he would be visiting here there but not to do what she was thinking.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Then what is the point of me here?" she asked, her face souring, "I will not be living here to be treated with little respect and only to be acknowledged when you deem I am of use to you." She said, her voice icy, "There are plenty of men who would be honored to have my presence in their household. I will not be spending my time in yours if there is no benefit to me." she looked him dead in the eye, "I do not need fancy dresses or to be desired by the land. If that's all you offer, I will be on my way." She said, stepping out of his grasp

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg look at one of the guards and nodded his head to him. He summoned over a footman. With one hand, he grabbed Aelxandra's wrist and the other he opened a vial of sleeping potion. As he took a goblet of wine from the footman, he let some of the sleeping potion fall into it. "I beg you pardon Mistress Alexandra. I did not mean to offend you. Here is a goblet of wine. You must be thirsty after the dancing we just did. Please accept it as my apologies." The King said, faking humbleness. He would not let her leave. He had not wanted to drug her but he had no choice now.

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "I do not want anything from you" She said, her voice icy and her eyes dark, "Please do let go of me, if you have any gentlmanlyness within you. I wish to be on my way, there is nothing for me here." she said tartly

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg frowned in frustration. This girl was going to be a lot of trouble. He released her arm and bowed ever so slightly to her. "My men will escort you to your home. My apologizes once again." Georg turned and headed back to the stage. The guards had orders to knock her out and take her to his chambers. She would not be leaving the castle.
