Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments An open area at the center of town, many townsfolk meet here to talk and trade wares

message 2: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Mellonie sat on a small bench in the center of town, her violin in her arms, the bow stretching over the strings. Despite what many did, play money for music, Mellonie played for the sheer joy of it. Pulling the bow across the strings, a beautiful hum lilting into the air around her. A few people stopped and turned to watch her, some were even those she used to call her 'friends.' But after a moment, they always walked on

message 3: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments With her eyes closed as she played, Mellonie didn't notice the prince approaching her, nor did she notice the hushed whispers of those watching. No, the girl was already far too lost in her music, playing a slow, sad ballad of her own creation. The notes, while higher than most sad songs, had an eerie tone to them when she struck them. It was one of her favourite songs, though she had no name for it yet.
Mellonie's curly locks were pinned up behind her ears, ringlets falling down to frame her face. She wore a dress in a pale yellow colour, with small, periwinkle flowers stitched on the hems

message 4: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Mellonie's bow screeched across the strings at the sudden harsh words, and her eyes shot open. Immediately, she stood up, dipping into a low curtsy, eyeing the ground. "My apologies, my Lord" she said quickly. God...if her parents were to hear she had been in the presence of a prince and hadn't reacted immediately with the respectfulness that had raised her to keep, she would be punished, severely. "I was lost in my music, I did not hear your approach" she stayed low in her curtsy, eyes facing her polished boots

message 5: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Straightening her posture and moving her shoulders back, she met the prince's eyes for but a moment, before lowering her gaze to the ground. "I am so sorry, My Lord. I cannot fathom how many apologies I wish to say to thee, we would need to spend the rest of the night in this empty lot to hear them all" she said softly, the hands which held her violin and bow quivering.

message 6: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Y-you enjoyed my music?" she asked softly, her words almost lost to the breeze. Did he want her to play? Did he want her to sit? Her mind was racing a mile per minute. How could someone as...important...as a prince enjoy her petty music? Surely they had formal musicians to perform for them at the palace?

message 7: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Do you wish for me to play for you, sir?" She asked, doing her best to keep her voice as calm and even as possible. By no someone must have spoken with her parents, told her of what was happening with their daughter. "I would be honored to return to the music for you" she whispered

message 8: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Mellonie took a deep, shaky breath, "Alright sir, do you have a particular request? Or would you like me to play something of my own creation?" She hoped he asked her to play a specific piece. Then she wouldn't have to worry, at least not as much. He wouldn't have to hear one of her broken pieces. She rarely played her own music, today had been one of the few exceptions

message 9: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "Mellonie" she replied softly as she introduced herself, "Mellonie Diamon, I am the daughter of the major." she said, bowing her head once more as she lifted the violin to her chin, placing the bow upon the strings but not yet moving them. She thought for a moment of what to play, and she decided to go with a local folk tune. She quickly began to draw the bow across the taught strings

message 10: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Mellonie bit at her lower lip as the pace of the song increased, her nimble fingers changing the pitch and her wrist flicking the bow quickly over the strings repeated. He hoped he enjoyed the song. God. She couldn't imagine what would happen if he didn't. She'd heard horror stories of what the royals did to those who displeased them...they almost always ended in the dungeons

message 11: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments "If you wish for my accompaniment, my Lord" she said, putting down the instrument and bowing her head, dropping into another curtsy, "It would be an honor to accompany you, if you wish it to be so" She remembered her manors, acting the way her parents had so often lectured her to.

message 12: by Denver -writes poems drinks wine-, Put the 'Hot' in 'Psychotic' (new)

Denver -writes poems drinks wine- | 1075 comments Mellonie followed behind him at an appropriate distance. If she were to walk next to him, it would seem she thought she was his equal. That would not do. So she stayed about a foot and a half behind, watching her steps and pace carefully.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Jisabell had escaped to town and she managed to grab her parcel. The town was bustling today since the preparations were starting sooner. She had to wear gloves to protect her hands. The sun burned bitterly and it almost makes her sick. Jisabell wished she was normal.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg strolled down the street, his dark blue cape trailing behind him. His green eyes seemed to look everywhere at once. "Ah Jisabell."

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"Georg." She answered looking up at him. This guy, she never liked him. Then why she married him you ask? He's the only one that will accept her kind. Jisabell sighed and looked away once their eyes met.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"What are you doing here my dear?" He asked moving to walk beside her. He glared at the humans that stood in their way.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"Don't glare love, and I escaped our son, Silas." She answered not meeting his eyes. Jisabell rather be secretive than usual. Georg was her husband but she can't over power him in any way.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg shook his head. "He needs to learn control. I cannot keep replacing them for him. People will begin to suspect." Georg held out his hand to her, indicating that he would carry the parcel for her.

message 21: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 10, 2014 07:51AM) (new)

"No, I would rather carry it." Jisabell said with a raised brow. She'd rather hold onto it than look at the sun. "Silas is learning quickly, but he should get over that moment." Jisabell sighed and looked up at him. "What have you done to his child?" She lowered her parcel.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"What child?" Georg asked innocently. He looked her in the eyes to try and convince her that he was not lying. Inside he was cursing himself.

message 23: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 10, 2014 07:55AM) (new)

"Well remember, Silas fell in love with somebody." She said looking at him. Lying. She thought. Jisabell decided to ignore that look and carry on. Jisabell sighed and looked back at her parcel that she decided to close. She haven't drank blood in ages. Probably not for now. She did look sick.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh you mean the abomination." Georg said as if with enlightenment. "It is dead. Died at birth along with the mother."

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

"You should have let him keep the girl. Atlas or Lucian can move up the throne." Jisabell smiled. But she remembered how everyone thought Atlas was a girl. She bit her lip and felt a little weaker.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

"Atlas will never be King." Georg said coldly. "The throne goes to the oldest Prince. That is the way it has been done for centuries. I am not about to allow that tradition to be brought down because my son fell in love with a human" he sneered the last word, like it was something disgusting.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

"Calm down, it was just a thought." Jisabell said calmly. Like nothing phrased her at all. She'd better feed before she fades slowly. "And nobody has to offend Atlas for the way he looks." Jisabell warned him. "He is a boy even of his structures love."

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

"I know that, my dear." Georg looked at her carefully. "You should find something to eat soon my love. We could go hunting together like we used to if that would please you."

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

"No...i'm fine." She promised. Jisabell sighed and looked down. "I'm fine, love." She assured him. Jisabell never ever liked assuring people.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg stopped walking and stood in front of her. He reached out and tilted her face up so he could see it better. "No, my dear, you do not look fine. It is the sun, is it not?"

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

"Why would it be the sun?" She asked looking up at him. "I'd rather not be cared for." Jisabell looked away from him and continued walking. "Kingdom will need another person to rule the throne..." Jisabell mumbled to herself.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg sighed and trotted after her. The people in the town center gave them a wide berth and stared at the strange conversation their King and Queen were having. "There will be an heir to the throne and it will be Silas."

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

"Unless he tries to run away from us again!" Jisabell spun in her heel to face him. "He tried once and he almost escaped, what happens if he does it again?" She said with pressure. Silas was her pride and joy, loosing him again will be years worth of being locked in a room.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

"Then we will find him and bring him back!" Noticing all the people staring, he grabbed Jisabell's elbow and pulled her into a dark corner. "You will not have to go through that again. I will not let it happen" he growled in a low voice.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

"It was my choice, you had to take care of our sons but you haven't! When I came out they were empty!" Jisabell stared at him. "Locking myself is for the greater good! I won't face the world." She whispered. Inside, locking herself up is just planning to come back to reality.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

"So it is my fault that their mother left them to sit in her chambers all day? My fault that you were not there to care for them as a mother should?" Georg asked her harshly. "I did not want them to grow up with out their mother like I had. They needed you!"

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well if they needed me, why didn't they'd tell you?" She asked looking at him. Jisabell closed her eyes, "My sons are everything to me, but I was there until they grew to an age they won't believe in me anymore. I still cared for them and you." She didn't want to look at him right now.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

"As I care for you." Georg sighed and leaned against the wall, bring his hands up to rub his face. "I have lived too long." He mutters, more to himself than to her.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

"Living so long is good, you'd be there longer." Jisabell answered softly. She looked at her hands and decided to pull off the gloves. She wouldn't burn just yet. Putting up with the sun and staying with her husband of a sort. And most of all. Abandoning her sons at an early age.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg sighed. "I do not even remember why I came into town anymore." He looked at the sun, sheiks his eyes from it with his hand. "Ah now I remember..."

((Wanna take them to the pub?))

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sure but I'm gonna take a shower))

Jisabell looked at him. "No..." She mumbled to herself. The pub. The pub she first met him at. The pub she was a brunette, not a blonde. The pub she was wearing a cloak. That pub where she found herself so insecure.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Georg held out his arm to Jisabell. "Would you like to accompany me to the pub, my dear?"
