People die of anything a US general was shot and killed in Afghanistan

notyourfriend (amemori) | 46 comments It's a possibility for it to mutate and become airborne. Won't be saying it's no big deal then. Even now, it's not something to overlook. It's like the modern day Black Plague. Killing 90% of those infected is huge. Basically it's a death sentence if you find out you have it.

It can really only mutate after years or by human intervention, and pancreatic cancer kills 90% of those with it they have treatments and are really close on a vaccine, honestly it will be eradicated within the next ten years just like small pox which kills at a higher rate

message 10: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) | 46 comments It's already been around for years, so mutation is still a possibility. Also, human intervention would make sense. To control a deadly virus would be a great weapon, so also possible. What you didn't state is that unlike pancreatic cancer, it is contagious. It's a quick death compared to that too.

The flu is more contagious then Ebola you could be sitting next to someone with Ebola and not know it, and the only reason it has killed a lot of people is because it appeared in a third world nation, people thought the same thing with small pox and polio, and small pox has been completely destroyed and polio is almost destroyed, I think a big part of it is the media they are basically fear mongers

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

after researching it a bit I think its kinda like H1N1 (Swine Flu) Everyone made the biggest deal of it and then it eventually died out. It wasn't even that horrible of a disease.

Yah it will eventually die out the only reason that so many people died is because they could not receive any proper medical treatment

because we have studied it in other nations and the CDC has protocols for everything and there are treatments for it

we studied the spread in other nations and you can be in the same room with someone who has Ebola and not get it, it is just media fear mongering

Its airborne.
Someone with it is on a plane with 160 other people.
The plane is going to Clevland.
Cleveland is 2 hours away from where i live.
WE ARE ALL SCREWED!
