Wolf hall already nominated and read . Please go through the group bookshelf before nominating. :)
Can we nominate a book that was already nominated the previous month, but didn't get enough votes? If yes, please include The Book Hunters of Katpadi: A Bibliomystery. If not, I'd like to nominate The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.
Thanks!
Book hunters it is...
Palace - I think we have already read in the group ... though I have to check further

i'd like to Nominate Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. It's a funny read, very humorous. Current rated 4.01.
Here's the synopsis:
God is dead. Meet the kids.
Fat Charlie Nancy's normal life ended the moment his father dropped dead on a Florida karaoke stage. Charlie didn't know his dad was a god. And he never knew he had a brother.
Now brother Spider's on his doorstep -- about to make Fat Charlie's life more interesting... and a lot more dangerous.

No need to nominate a book twice. It was noticed the first time. and you can nominate only one book..

Thank you! As for Palace, I did check the shelf but didn't find it there. Wouldn't know if it was read in one of the weekend challenges. :)

I second Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
@Jhankar.. we started group reads somewhere in 2010 or 11 and I remember palace as one of the earliest books. Those days It had only 300 members , bt it was a cozy cyber home .. and most of us knew each other well..
Nowadays I find it difficult to keep track of all IR discussions., though I try some ..

It must've been so much more interactive with just those many people.
P.S. I didn't realise Palace was that old. I had to check its publishing date to be sure and it's 2008!!! I thought it's a fairly recent book, but what do you know!

Please suggest books for the group to read as Book of the Month
In recent months we are noticing a trend of the nominated not following upon with discussion of the book. This leads to redundant and lusterless threads. Please avoid nominating if you feel you won't be able to read and discuss the book in the thread.
A few more simple rules
No promotions of any kind
Please avoid books already read by the group. ( you may access the group bookshelf to see the list of books read)
https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
Try and nominate books her can be easily read in a month. ( this means chunksters with 700 or more pages better be avoided.
Moderators have the final say in selecting a book for the poll.
Eagerly waiting for your suggestions.
We will put up the polls after August 15.
Thank you
