It's already time for our next entry in this series, and I have to say it will be hard to catch up! This is so thought provoking that the absorption level males me keep setting the book down to think about it.

What did you think? I am excited to read it all, but want to savor it a bit.

I'm 40 pages in and so far finding it easier going than VALIS and The Divine Invasion. In both the earlier novels, I got through them more on the strength of the prose than the story itself and the characters. To me, they are deliberately meandering and somewhat plotless, more exploration than story-telling. Archer has some of that quality but has felt more cohesive so far.

Finished! I liked Archer much more than the other two because it's more plot and personality driven, and the philosophy is more straightforward. At least that's how I read it.

I started this yesterday, and although I am not too far in, I am enjoying it a lot.
