Crime, Mysteries & Thrillers discussion

I'm so excited that we are now including True Crime as a regular feature in Crime, Mysteries & Thrillers.

I've noticed that some of the books nominate are not available to me (I have access to two public libraries systems, hoopla, and a website where I can download books). I don't want to restrict the group reads based on the books that I have access to, so I'm going to ask for volunteers to select books for the poll and then to lead that month's book discussion.

If you volunteer you will select five books from the nomination discussion and lead whichever book wins the poll for the month. You can choose whatever month is most convenient for you. Please be mindful that you select books for the poll that you have access to.

I too am new and would volunteer for March if it is still open. Kind of scary putting myself out there.....

I haven't been able to get in touch with Steffi who volunteered for January would anyone else like to choose the True Crime books for January's poll and then lead the discussion?

So we could look at the rolling nominations and pick 5 for our month? Do we have a running list of true crime books that have been discussed over the past few years? I’ve only been involved the last six months or so. If you don’t get someone to lead January I could help but more worried about picking the selections for voting.

If no one wants to volunteer for March I will do March, I did see a comment that someone was considering March yet no commitment as of yet. So I will basically be put into any month you have free. If March gone. How about May ????

I very much like reading true crime. I lead the January discussion and it was fun - not a lot of participation - but fun. I'll try to join in all of your guys discussions.

Thanks Gem for taking on October, and Jamie too for taking November. I'm wondering whether the November book could cover November/December as I'm sure most of us are a bit short of time for reading late Nov and Dec with the holiday season. Or alternatively, the December book could cover Dec/Jan. What do you think? I'm happy to lead either Dec or Dec/Jan. Or even skip Dec True Crime completely?
