officially, most days quoted are Aug 10 and Aug 12, but given that the first is on a sunday i'm not ready to believe that one.

However sffaudio had a review copy available a week early, and I was able to snag it, so now I'm doing the audiobook at least until my Hardcover arrives.
Hopefully you don't mind if I make threads. :)
I have never been more frustrated not to have a book. I blame Goodreads. It seems like everyone but me has already read the damn thing...
yes, it sure seems like there were an awful lot of ARCs around. i checked too, but it was US only :(
*wimpers*I don't think you guys have been following your normal read schedule... what happened to five chapters a week or whatever the previous rate was?
One day! One day I will actually read a Hobb book at the same time as this group!
There was a reading schedule? I thought it was always one book a month and people read/created posts at their own rate?

Rob wrote: "There was a reading schedule? I thought it was always one book a month and people read/created posts at their own rate?"Yes, but this time the rate seems to be far faster than before. Blood of Dragons seemed to take you about two weeks, whereas Fool's Assasin took you about 12 hours...
(although I guess part of that was the way that half the world read actually it in April)
there hasn't been a reading schedule, we start at a date and then each goes at their speed, but i would think most people did about 2-3 chapters a day, so it typically took around 10 days to finish.
this time it does seem to go very fast (faster than usual). but i think there are two things going on, i) a lot of people managed to start earlier, and ii) it seems they were so excited they are just racing through it.
i'm only at chapter 3 so not everyone is going at crazy speed :)

Now that I have my copy of the hardcover, I'm both reading and listening.Though that probably just makes up for how little I listened over the weekend.
I wasn't complaining, just disappointed at being left behind so quickly before I even had a copy.As it happens, as of this morning I do have a copy... though I'm not sure I'll actually be able to read it for a few days.
It's very pretty and sparkly, isn't it?
Incidentally, the thing that worries me most before I start is the naming. "Fool's Assassin", and the whole trilogy called "Fitz and the Fool"... doesn't bode too well for future Fitz and Fool books, all feels like it's going to be a conclusion. Which is a shame, because I'd have liked to have followed Fitz into old age (or 'Chadehood', as it's also known in his case...)

I've seen a lot of launching days go around, but it seems at least for the UK (which is the schedule mainland europe is on as well) is next tuesday?
I'm not sure i will be able to get to the english bookstore in the city on tuesday, but i will definitely try! :)
