A Child Called "It" discussion

A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer is a heart-felt book. It shows us how Dave lived as a boy through his mother’s conditions. He was abused, starved and emotionally scarred. As you can tell from the title of the book he was called “It”. The name came from his mother when she thought a real name was too special for him. Dave did attend school but the experience was even worse. He came to school with bruises everyday. He also had a dad which was no help at all. His dad was a drunk and was gone most of the day anyways. He thought he was his only hope. Through this he learns how to survive himself by searching for food because his mother did not feed him . There were times he broke down crying or times he would play another one of his motherst wicked games. His mother enjoyed the things she did to him. Throughout this book you will learn to grow and love Dave.You will see how he survived through all this and how he is doing now.
