Amidst a lot of mixed reviews on the ending of this trilogy, I was pleased. The symbolic tearing down of the wall was really how it was supposed to end, the greater humanity , together for Love.
BUT
Did Lena and Alex end up together?? Don't get me wrong, Jullian is a sweetheart, but I really couldn't see him and Lena together. Even though she brought him to the wilds and 'opened his eyes', and their relationship was exciting in the beginning, Jullian could never fill the special place Alex had left, and he could never do what Alex had done.
What does everyone think? Who ended up with who? It seemed Oliver left this open ended for us...

I honestly was infuriated at the ending. I like closure. I feel like she could have at least said what happened to Lena and the rebellions. What about the relationships?
I like when books give me an ending that I can be satisfied with because it won't leave me thinking or anything. This series ended horribly and I thought she could have done better to end this seires.
i'm not a fan of how the story ended. don't get me wrong, i love a story that leaves it open for you to sort it out on your own and keep thinking, but what i think bugs me the most is that you don't get Julien's resolution even though you get Lena/Alex. the other bit too is that Hana played such a big role at the end, and yet you don't really get the end of her story or that of Lena's cousin. I really wish that we got more there, and hopefully there will be another novella at some point down the line.
I listened to it and as the ending music played I switched back to youtube and went, seriously?
I like the cliff hanger. It is more realistic. Oh, tear down the wall, Hanna and Lena become friends, Lena stays with Alex! Hello people war is about to happen. It just made so much sense that raven died even though I didn't like it. I prefer cliff hanger over Lena's and Jullian's happily ever after.
I found the ending irritating. I read the last book in the series because I wanted to know what was going to happen in the story. If I wanted to dicide what was going to happen myself I wouldn't have read the book. She ended it right before everything could get resolved so the last book was really stupid in my opinion. That's just how I felt. Especially since the whole book were wondering who she'll end up with and in the end we never find out
