Politics drove public interest in finding Nainsi’s murderer, which would have largely been ignored otherwise. Do we have similar behaviors today?

Definitely! You see it when the police are more interested in solving crimes in which the victims are wealthy or middle class rather than poor.

Sadly, even the media owns up to this. It still stuns me how money, class and power will still outweigh justice.
