Aelin is convinced that killing Dorian would be merciful. Was she right? Would she have killed him if Nesryn hadn't stopped him?

I do believe that anyone possessed by one of the Valg is better off dead, but I do not think that Aelin would have gone through with it. She's to attached to Dorian.

It would have been a mercy at that time because Aelin had no way of knowing she could save Dorian.

I also don't think she would have gone through with it; she seemed to be lowering her sword when Nesryn stopped her.
