It is revealed that Elide Lochan has witch blood through her mother. Was this a surprise? What do you think of her character?

I like her character and how the author brought her into the story. Her mom played a huge part in freeing Aelin when she was younger and now Aelin can help her daughter. I'm curious to see where the witch blood leads her.

Yes, I like how Maas is bringing all the characters back into the stories - it provides both continuity and closure.
