Dorian kills his father despite his claims of being possessed. Justified or not?

Legally, no it was not justified. He was no longer possessed by the Valg and should have been given the chance to explain things. Personally, it was. He has tortured Dorian (verbally, then physically with the collar) for so long that Dorian probably didn't hear a word he said. Dorian's anger released his magic. I feel that his death was needed though. I think he knew all along what the Duke was doing and was in on it. If he had stayed alive he may have gone back to the Duke and gotten repossessed.

The King's actions were unforgivable and by allowing him to live would mean that he would continue to rule and perhaps the claim of possession wasn't real. It was definitely a deserved death.
