At the end of the novel, there are about 10 literary questions to be used in a class setting. Out of curiosity I started reading them, and all of them felt fairly straightforward- except one.
The question which I have no clue about is this: What is the symbolism of Leila's all red car?
When reading the book it never even dawned on me that there was symbolism in her car. What are your theories?

What's really interesting is that I think this particular symbol could change depending on perspective. The color red is a popular color to equate with different emotions. In China, it is equated with happiness. In France, it became part of the color of the revolution.
Red can mean anger. It can be change. It can mean energy. What do you think Leila brings wherever she goes? What do you think are the long term effects of her presence in people's lives?
