What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Please help, I am looking for a book I read a few years ago. From what I remember there was a girl who was a Princess or some kind of royalty. She is kidnapped and taken to this house in the woods, locked in a room. She starts falling in love with one of the captors. He ends up helping her I think and she escapes. She goes to trial for the case, hoping that he will be there, but he is not. In the end, she is walking down the stair case and he is there. It turns out he was someone good working for her father/secret service to protect her the whole time. They end up being together. I thought it was one of the Cordina Royal Family books by Nora Roberts, but I was mistaken. Please help I would love to read this book again.

Brenda Harlen has a series about a royal family too, And I think one of them is about a princess with this plot line. In any event, you might enjoy the series even if none of the books are yours.

I am actually starting to remember other facts of the story. I am pretty sure they met before hand at a party and he takes her out to the countryside for a picnic the next day. It is there she is taken captive. I am pretty positive this is a Harlequin romance book. Maybe one of the old ones from the 1980's.

I have officially found the book. Just happened to come across the name of it through a review for another book.
