Okay, sorry this is up so late you guys. My grandpa was in the hospital, then I had an appointment at Vanderbilt and started a new pain medication. I've been so foggy that I definitely thought it was still Wednesday!

Anyway, I used a random number generator to pick from the books that were suggested so here we go! The theme was dystopian and the book chosen is "Beta."

When is this read supposed to start?

Whenever you want to start! There is not a set time. It is just the book of the month. It's suggested to read it August 1st but we fell a little behind schedule.

Ok. It's just that I'm going to have to get it via an inter library loan and that could take a while.

No problem, I get most of my books from the digital library so I know the wait.

We have enough stress in our lives, so this is a stress free zone.

Hi I thought I should let you know that I've decided not to join in in the BOTM for August. I've looked at a few reviews and I feel like it's not for me. But I hope you all enjoy it and have fun reading.

That's perfectly fine! This isn't my genre to read. When we first started we had 2 BOTMs but since we haven't been feeling well, we stopped that.
Next month's book subject is a book with a color in the title so you can get started thinking of book suggestions.

not necessarily, some members might be reading that are just not active.

I know for a fact that interacting and posting takes spoons. I haven't checked out the book yet because I am moving this week.

What do you think of the book so far?

I like it! There's some parts that have made me roll my eyes, but I'm looking forward to finishing this book, and to reading book 2 when it comes out in October!

I want to read it too, but it'll probably be September/Oktober. (if it's available on audio book and not too hard to follow).

I've started reading, but I just spent a week doing funeral stuff with no WiFi, so I haven't been online to talk about it yet. I'm a fan of dystopian novels in general, so I'm enjoying it so far.

I've stayed off because I finished the book a while back and didn't want to spoil anyone. If anyone wants to discuss, just let me know where you're up to!
