Adrianna was in the training room like she almost always was. She had made a strict schedule for herself, she refused to end up like her family -dead because they couldn't bother to train. Today was her day that she dedicated to practicing her shooting skills, so that was exactly what she was doing. She held her bow and aimed for a small crack in the wall, she had long since stopped using the target, it didn't challenge her enough. This, though, she had to focus on.
Adrianna turned when she heard someone enter, her loaded bow still in hand. She quickly lowered her bow as she saw the Shadowhunter. "Gwen, getting some training in, I see," she said. Adrianna hated when others came in while she was training, but what was she supposed to do? It was a good thing that they were training, though. That was one less shadowhunter that would end up like her parents. Besides, it was a public space. She couldn't exactly shoo them away.
"Even if i did mind, I can't really stop you, can I?" Adrianna pointed out. "It's a public room, I can't really throw you out just because I don't want you here." She aimed her bow and shot at the crack right next to the target that she had been aiming at before Gwen had come in. Adrianna grinned when she saw she had hit it straight on. It made her look bad when she aimed for things other than the target, like she couldn't even hit the target with the bow, but she didn't care. As long as she knew she was good.
"I was just about to take a break anyway," Adrianna told her. "You don't have to leave." She hated when Shadowhunters insisted on leaving because they thought she didn't want them there. They were right, she didn't want them there, but they had to train to. She hated the possibility of what would happen if they didn't train even more that she hated them there, so she tolerated them there and took more frequent breaks than usual.
((Totally understandable :) ))
Adrianna notched another arrow and aimed at a small spot in the wall. "There are better places to keep your phone," she informed Gwen, not even looking at her. "Speaking of phones, who was that who just called?" she asked curiously as she let her arrow fly and it hit exactly where she had planned it to, though it wasn't on the target. Adrianna grinned and finally turned towards Gwen, ignoring her question.

"In the breast pocket built into our gear," Adrianna told her, pulling her phone out. "There are so many pockets in our gear, you could keep it anywhere," she said then put her phone back in her pocket. She was going to say more, but held her tongue. They would survive without another sarcastic comment on her end.
Adrianna frowned at the sight. Gwen was usually good at throwing knives. "I'm distracting you," she said, thinking that must be the reason why the knife had fallen. What else would it be? "I should probably go for a break now. I've been training all morning," she told her. She wasn't the only one who needed training, and she didn't want to be a distraction.
"I just don't want to be a distraction, so if I'm not here, I'm not distracting," Adrianna told her as she put her bow and quiver away.
"No," Adrianna said. "Why would you be distracting?" She wasn't easily distracted, especially when she was fighting or training.
"If you say so," Adrianna said, picking up her bow again and swinging her quiver back in place over her shoulder. She loaded her bow and aimed.
Adrianna's ear twitched, hearing the low thump if footsteps outside the door. "Who do you think that is?" she asked as she looked over at the door.
"We should go check it out," Adrianna suggested. "Even if it is probably nothing, it could be interesting."
"Well, get over here with me," Adrianna said, rolling her eyes. "Come on."
((What do you want it to be?))
((What do you want it to be?))
((If she was half as funny as she thought she was, she would be twice as funny as she is!))
"Yea, training is going fine," Adrianna said. She didn't talk to Kain very often. In fact, she didn't talk to anyone in the institute very often, only when she had to.

Adrianna had wanted to help out with the vampires, but they had insisted it was nothing and could be taken care of in no time, so she had stayed behind. She said nothing.
"So, Kain," Adrianna began, quite awkwardly, "what happened with the vampires? I mean, you went over there to take care of it during the day, which really doesn't make any sense," she pointed out, she was admittedly a bit confused by why they had decided to do so.
((Well, the vampire like attacks had happened during the day so we suspected a daylighter, though it seemed unlikely it was only logical to investigate during the time of the attacks.))
