If you would like to try out the Cape Light series by Thomas Kincade and Katherine Spencer then sound-off here. My goal is to read the first four books by the end of November and then read the next two books (which are Christmas themed) during the month of December. I plan to come back each December and continue reading the series.

I actually found the first book in a charity shop a couple of months ago so I might join in with this. I don't have any others yet though - I'll see how much I like the first one before buying more xx

That is great Amanda. I'm excited to hear what you think of it. I will be starting around the 1st of September on Cape Light. Does your library have any of them?

I'm starting Cape Light today along with the rest of my readalong books. I'll be vlogging from my daughter's hospital room while she does a 72 hour EEG. I'm looking forward to getting lots read.

Who else is reading Cape Light this month?

I think I'm going to need to amend my original reading schedule for this series. I'm running out of months and I don't really want to rush this. I'm currently reading Cape Light and am plan to finish it sometime in October. If anyone still wants to join in and read this series with me, then you have until the end of the year to finish the first book (Cape Light). I won't start the second book until January 1st and plan to read one every three months so that I will be ready for the Christmas books by this time next year. Here is what the schedule looks like:

Cape Light: Sept - Dec 2018
Home Song: Jan - Mar 2019
A Gathering Place: Apr - June 2019
A New Leaf: July - Sept 2019
A Christmas Promise, The Christmas Angel, A Christmas to Remember: Oct - Dec 2019
After that I would like to read at least 3 more each year during the holiday season. I would love to have anyone join me who is interested.

Yay! I hope you enjoy it. I haven't made any progress on it yet this week. My mystery book club meets tomorrow so I had to get that book finished. I've really enjoyed the first few chapters though.

I went to my library today and got Cape Light and already started reading it. only a couple pages in so far.

Hi Catherine! On this thread we will be chatting about Cape Light. It's not too late to get in on that one.
I'm still thinking about what to do for future readalongs. I've had a few suggestions. I probably won't start another series until after March Mystery Madness, but I might try to do a standalone for February.

Hello, Everyone. I am just now responding that I too want to read the Cape Light series. I have had the first volume out for six renewals and just now started it over the weekend and finished it today! My local library does not have the second and third volume so am beginning to search local used books stores for them. Reading the Goodreads synopsis for the next two in the series has me wanting more. Will post my comments about the book on the Cape Light thread my comments. Ciao!

I just reread the last few pages of Cape Light so that I could comment about it on the other thread and now it's making me want to go pick up the second book and start it right now.
However, I said that I was going to focus on the Home to Heather Creek series this month! Arggh! Reader Problems!! So many books so little time!
