"Just after midnight, the famous Orient Express is stopped in its tracks by a snowdrift. By morning, the millionaire Samuel Edward Ratchett lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Without a shred of doubt, one of his fellow passengers is the murderer.

Isolated by the storm, detective Hercule Poirot must find the killer among a dozen of the dead man's enemies, before the murderer decides to strike again.

From what I understand all the Hercule Poirot novels are technically stand alones and can be read in any order.

I like it, and I'm curious about how anyone else who has read Sherlock Holmes is going to compare them. It's hard not to, they're both series set in the Victorian era about brilliant detectives! Personally, I like them both and can't believe it took this long to try Christie out.

Just finished chapter 3 Poirot getting sassy with Mr. Ratchett lol
